Giving it away. Great price, great game.

#4 6 years ago

Great price

#5 6 years ago

The low price doesn't reflect the condition. Just need it to move quickly.

#6 6 years ago

Wtf that is really inexpensive ... man glws but you could get another 1k easily

#7 6 years ago

Nice! It's too bad that you live so far away.

#8 6 years ago

they sky is falling! GLWS! great game!

#9 6 years ago

Hobbits keep listing cheaper and cheaper but are they selling? Very curious how long this one is available at this price!

Good luck!

#10 6 years ago

Is it just me or this the most beautifully aesthetic pinball machines ever made?

#11 6 years ago

Most affordable Smaug I've ever seen. GLWS.

#12 6 years ago

Wow... Someone is going to get a great deal here.

#13 6 years ago

I love maine, very pretty, nice people. The price reflects that. Damn, im broke, i dont like shipping pins, but would consiser this.

No, it's not just you. That's one of the reasons why I bought it. JLC

#15 6 years ago

Dam you left some money on the table there

#16 6 years ago

Did you buy this s nib. If not was it on location or HUO

#17 6 years ago

I bought from another pinsider just outside of Allentown who bought it nib. Very few plays on this machine

Good luck!

There are a lot of new titles to buy right now and more coming out, a lot of pins are selling cheaper and cheaper.

#19 6 years ago

I wouldn't read too too much into the price. Seller wants some cash now and so has underpriced it a bit to move it. Nothing wrong with that, and people who can wait longer could probably do a little more. Plus he's in New England which seems to have slightly Cheaper prices. GLWTS

It is a good price and the seller is doing the smart thing by staying ahead of the downward sloping curve on this title.

What are you talking about, downward sloping curve? The game is fantastic.

the game's price is sinking like the titanic.

Guess that's a good thing for buyers

I sold my on Monday, got $1000 less then I was offered by several people a few months ago. The value is dropping for sure. This price however is still a steal.

#26 6 years ago

this is an absolute steal though - just wished I liked game more.

#27 6 years ago

It's a great game to some people. The demand is really low though, hence the prices will keep dropping. I predicted months ago this pin would bottom out around $5,500 to $5,800 to get it sold. If a Smaug is 6k then what is an LE currently worth?

#28 6 years ago

Fantastic price. If it were a $1000 off WOZ I'd grab in a heartbeat. Just didn't care for Hobbit. I suspect similar sentiments may explain in part the general price drop on this title

What was the MSRP of this pin?

What was the MSRP of this pin?

Was 9k nib from JJP direct. Not sure the price from a distributor though.

#31 6 years ago

How far is it from Manchester, NH? I do love me a bargain lol.

#32 6 years ago

They were $7500 on pre-order without Radicals.

#33 6 years ago

Damn. That's a big price drop. If I liked the theme I might be interested in the pin.

#34 6 years ago

The pin (as noted here several times) isn't for everyone - it's got less toys in it than many modern pins, but I think of it as a cross between a role playing game where you have to earn experience and such, and Medieval Madness, where you've got the popup toys and the fantasy theme.

you've got Smaug, (who doesn't interact with the ball) that talks to you quite a lot during the game, and a ton of creative choices between the using of the Ring button, the way the ramps are constantly changing purpose, the 10,000 modes, and things like the Gollum ball save which IMO are better than WOZ. (simpler is better in this case)

That said, lots of people dont' like the fact that there are a lot of opportunities for Multiball, for some reason. They don't like that there aren't a million playfield toys a la Dialed In, or that the playfield is fairly wide open. Wide open that is until you start playing, and the damn popup mechs start changing the dynamic of the field. I like the constant change and how every game is (if only a little) different.

#35 6 years ago

Seems like a very good price but I've just bought a Woz.

Well, this might explain the price drop.

Does the number of ball searches seem high to anyone else?

Quoted from PACMAN:

Does the number of ball searches seem high to anyone else?

Not for a Hobbitt. Most of those were probably before the upgraded pop ups. There were a lot of stuck balls on those original pop ups.

#39 6 years ago
Quoted from PACMAN:

Does the number of ball searches seem high to anyone else?

Not really - there's also an adjustment that has to be made for the trough- the apron can obstruct the ball from going into the shooter lane the first couple of tries, and the game goes into ball search mode. Before I made that adjustment, it would happen every single game

Quoted from PACMAN:

Does the number of ball searches seem high to anyone else?

nope,

esp since it seems that someone likes to restart games after a bad ball. 294 games started. 347 games started. That means hitting the start button while in play on a game, which commonly results in a balls earch till your in play ball drains.

Fastest Hobbit resale to date. Great game at a rock bottom deal.
