Item description

Have a New in Box Lebowski pinball that I got as part of a breakup. A local friend led me to here for a sale ad. Don't know much about the pin itself but my friend can help me with any questions.

Prefer for it to be picked up, but will ship it if the buyer takes care of everything. Just setting a price but open to any fair offers. Thank y'all!

By what means did your Friend determine the starting price?

#5 1 year ago

Lol, your "friend" obviously didn't tell you a whole lot about this place. Good luck!

#6 1 year ago

#14 1 year ago

Does anything over $12.5K go to the scorned girlfriend charity?

Good luck with that.

#16 1 year ago

You know its a joke because @op checked the forum box. Still, we'll have our laughs at this.

#17 1 year ago

10k by Xmas

#18 1 year ago

I wonder if the other half of this break up got the BM66 SLE?

#19 1 year ago

Should sell for about $17-18k
Archives are around that price.

If you don’t mind waiting a year or more for a maybe, this might be a good option.

Says “Open to offers” - make them one.
(A). 12.5k delivery in xx months — maybe

Or.

(B) guaranteed one - how much ??

(They have been trading around $17-18k).

What a bunch of cynics and naysayers. TBHLHC has been a Pinsider for.....what, only one day?

#27 1 year ago

Should have taken the Hellcat instead.

Yeah, in how many months (or years)? Apparently, this one is available now, just in time for Christmas!

#30 1 year ago

New member, my guess it may sell elsewhere without the buyer batting an eye!

#31 1 year ago

You know how many $89 Batman 66s you can get for that ask? Smh!

This bullshit has Lebowski himself concerned?

Hey y'all, I can ensure you that this is real. First, I want to thank the ones that messaged me and were really kind to tell me the backstory and wish me luck. I especially want to thank Vpv1rgin for kindness and help.

Though a bit creepy, as this was a for sale post, thanks for the "looks" comment.

I'm not looking to make a ton of money, just get rid of it.

Sorry I've only been here for one day, pinball wasn't my hobby, so I can't change that.

The username is my three kids first and middle initials, so thanks for the comments on that too.

I don't think in any place I've ever sold anything that I've seen so many comments or cynicism from people or the ones running the site....now I know where those personality traits came from.

The people running the site want a ton of information I don't have on hand as I'm in Dallas for my daughters cheerleading competition. I tried to show the charge on my account as that's all I can access until Sunday night. I'm trying to get a mutual party to get it for me until then.

If not, I'll move this over to Facebook Marketplace as I hear that people have more positive dealings and comments.

Thanks for understanding!

Yes it's extremely unlikely you'll encounter any unpleasantness on Facebook. In my experience it's been a totally safe space, a den of kindness and acceptance.

Like a nest of little kittens sleeping quietly near an open fire of pure peacefulness.

I’d just throw it up on eBay for 40k and start from there.

So this pinball is a part of a breakup that you paid for ?

I say sell it and use the money to pay for a better attorney !

#41 1 year ago

Not trying to wreck your for sale ad, just wondering how you arrived at a 20,000 dollar starting price?

#42 1 year ago

.

#43 1 year ago

Could you share the Ex's Pinside handle? Would lend a lot more credibility to a first time poster and help especially for the high dollar bait your offering. I only see 2 listed on the map near that area but would hate to assume a guess. As your selling all his toys my Guess is the Ex didn't start with only the most expensive game are there others your looking to liquidate to teach him a lesson.....

Quoted from TBHLHC:

I'm not looking to make a ton of money, just get rid of it.

Then your starting price is $12,500...

Of course, if your three kids are named Christof, Kristine, and, Christos, then you should be asking $20,000.

This reminds me of the time when I had a breakup in high school and found myself burdened with the sudden ownership of a rocket ship. I had a friend help me sell it to a consortium of Eastern European scientists. And, much like you, I didn’t want to make any money. I simply wanted to get rid of it. My initial asking price was $48,000,000, which led to some tension. But, eventually they came around and that’s how I fuel this hobby.

Love’s a real bitch, ain’t it?

Thankfully people make comments and have cynicism here. Helps people not get burned on scams or bad deals.

Your initial post has lots of red flags to attract attention. Doesn't mean it's a bad deal. Just makes people more cautious. Too many times a for sale post pops up here from someone who just registered, never made any other posts, asked questions, helped others. Bought or sold here. Yet magically knows where Pinside is when they want an unrealistic price for something and has sketchy details.

Quoted from TBHLHC:

Might be your best bet. Good luck with your sale.

20k price tag already did that.

Funny, I could verify that you're legit (meeting in public for a few minutes, don't even go there..) except that I have very little motivation to help someone fob off their gains from ditching someone else.

Oh, plus this:

Quoted from TBHLHC:

now I know where those personality traits came from.

Super classy, talking down to the entire market you're trying to sell to.

*edit* You did give at least something to the site, which is slightly redeeming, but....yeah, I'm still out on being a part of this shitshow

Re-list it without a forum. Problem solved.

Man a lot of griping.

If I don’t like what I see in price I just move on. To much complaining - why waste your time.

Dang.... oh wait... this is the great thing about Pinside...bitching!

#49 1 year ago

So you got this machine from your ex as part of a breakup?
Well isn’t that sweet of you to cash in on one of the man’s prized possessions.

Wow I have so many mean things to say that I’m just going to move on.....
I might be banned for life. Lol!

#50 1 year ago
Quoted from cpr9999:

why waste your time.

A brand new user that no one knows lists a rare and controversial game they "got as part of a break up". They list it for the $20k -"I'm not looking to make a ton of money, just get rid of it." asking price. Then they claim to know nothing about the game and can't provide any additional pictures or information because they are now in Dallas and the game is near San Antonio. They feel insulted and are now threatening to take this shit show to Facebook.

Waste of time? - this kind of drama is why I look at pinside.
