Here's the latest on DP's production issues, hopefully they can iron things out with their manufacturer and get games shipping again:

GLWS, I know it's been a long wait for those that got in at the start and I really hope the full 300 games make it out into the world, it's a very cool game and I'd love to own one someday.

#3 7 years ago

Just curious, are you able to request a refund or are you now "stuck" with the game (or promise of the game)?

#4 7 years ago

I have requested a refund but that will never happen.

I am pretty confident they will get the games out at some point, but I don't want to wait another year or more.. they have already had my money for over 2 years.

I assume you ordered through DP direct, not Cointaker?

#7 7 years ago

Does that price include shipping ?

#8 7 years ago

No, but I believe they are being distributed out of Chicago(cointaker) ? so in theory you could pick it up.

Nevermind... They are in PA. So you would have to pay PA to IL

NEVER AGAIN.

How many games has this happened with now? Still people don't learn. Smh

Spooky only company I will ever give my deposit money to or my dealer.

#12 7 years ago

JJP would be another pinball company that I would consider putting a deposit down on.

Sorry for the long wait OP. Hope things get sorted out for you. $9K is a hefty chunk of change that I couldn't afford to be out of.

#13 7 years ago

Bump.

Please get familiar with what's going on before making a decision on this.

Why would someone want to take over someone's preorder on tbl at this point? Seems all risk and no reward.

#16 7 years ago

I don't get the $500 mark up

Negotiating room...everyone wants a discount

Quoted from Pdxmonkey:

I think a 500 markup on a game that would still cost more for ordering at this point from a distributor on top of the fact my 8500 has been out of my hands for 2 years is totally fair.

Whether someone wants to risk it right now to get 1 of 300 games is totally up to them. I am just done having my money tied up.

#19 7 years ago

Silly question (and I'm not interested in taking the preorder, I'm just curious)
What's the process of taking the preorder over? If you asked for a refund and didn't get a response, doesn't seem like they would be helpful in transferring a preorder?

From what I have been told they will do a transfer. I will worry about all that if I get a serious offer. Not holding my breath.

Why don't you just ask for a refund?

Ahhh. Ok so basically you would have to have rocks in your head to take over a pre order at this point.? Why would anyone do that? Just wait until the game actually ships and buy one then.

Is it a gamble given the recent news, absolutely. However if you wait till the game is shipped (if it does), I'd bet my left nut you won't touch one for 9k in the next couple years.

I'd take that bet. Games a turd, be lots for sale if it actually ships.

Thanks for your opinion.
Do you enjoy stepping on someone's sale?

#28 7 years ago

Considering more money might need to be sent to release a game, I'm not sure any spot can be considered paid in full at this point sadly

#29 7 years ago

You might be better off selling for a $500 loss, you'd only lose $500 compared to the full amount if this problem doesn't get resolved.

No one is gonna buy this and risk losing 9k, that's almost 2 predators!

Only chance to sell is at a discount so buyer can justify the risk.

Game's not a turd bro, far from it. Have you played one? I have owned mine just over a week and it's fantastic. I'm a person who will get a rid of a game in an instant if it sucks. This game is the best in my collection and I've owned/own some pretty great games.

#33 7 years ago

Yes I've played it lots. I wouldn't offer an opinion on gameplay if I hadn't. Nitro got one a year ago.

Wrong hater...go spend some time in the Alien thread if you like playing turds!

Is it fair to compare to TBL to Predator?

#36 7 years ago
Quoted from highdef:

No! not even close to the same situation!

#38 7 years ago

Until there are 50 Predator's in houses then you don't have a comparison bro.

#39 7 years ago

lol no I know, predator nothing the same. At least they got a few tbl shipped the last year. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. Shame potential buyers can't get refund in meantime and play something else

#40 7 years ago

Bump for a guy trying to sell TBL... no other comments or side bars.

#42 7 years ago

Seriously, stop having arguments and expressing your opinions in my for sale post.

trust me you want a fight in your FS thread. Keeps it at the top. Works great. Doesn't matter what they are fighting about. People that want the game won't even read the drama.

Hey now, this isn't a Rob Zombie for sale thread.

Clearly not since we are talking about a game that might not ship and a company that blew all their cash and may fold.

Rz is flying out the door and spooky is doing everything right, dp on the other hand...

Again, another unfair comment. All speculation.

They deliver on time but refunds are as tricky with them as any other.
