I will give you guys first shot before I head over to eBay where I think this will sell quickly for $20-22K as the other 2 there are $30-33K. This is #2/100 which makes it even more collectible. First preference will be given to somebody who can pick it up in person with cash in hand. Second preference is to ship it and it is currently on a palette which would make for safer shipping. Please message me with any questions. Jim

I can promise I am not a flipper looking for a profit on this deal. I paid $38K for a Gold, Diamond and a Platinum. The Gold is in my office and I am keeping one of the other two in my home. I will probably list the Platinum at $13.5K OBO and see which one sells first. Just curious what you think I should sell it for with $30K invested in a Diamond and Platinum?

I'm not sure I would call that an investment.

hell... do what all the other flippers did.

Sell the Diamond NIB for 25k
Sell the Platinum NIB for 12k

Walk away and enjoy your gold for 1k worth of actual cash from your own pocket.

Granted, you know better than to bring this junk here. Sell them on Ebay where they belong.

Does the diamond and platinum have extra features over the gold other than trim and a plastic badge that says diamond/platinum ?

Just art and armor.

#12 5 years ago

Wait'll you have to buy replacement parts marked up at 1000 percent.

#13 5 years ago

I’m a proud owner of a Gold version. Pretty shocking what Stern got away with (successfully it appears) with these limited versions. I don’t fault Stern one bit but feel bad for folks trying to maintain some level of their initial purchase price.

I’m curious to hear your honest opinion on the platinum and diamond versions. Do you feel like you were fleeced at all? Or did you fully understand what you were buying and ok with the purchase?

#15 5 years ago

Maybe in 25 years these will be collectible, on second thought, no way.

#16 5 years ago

More then I would pay but still the cheapest i have seen other then the 2 that got snagged on The Beatles website.

Quoted from Cserold:

It was clearly announced what you got. No one got fleeced, people bought them because they wanted them.

I fully understood. By my nature, I am a collector and I always want the best (most collectible) versions. The Diamond's were going for $25K (and I think they still are).

GLWS, each Beatles option is beautiful
IMO Diamond looks the best
Number 2 of 100 worldwide = awesome

You collect the best and most valuable but are selling the Diamond or Platinum and keeping the Gold? Sounds like flipping to me but GLWS either way.

I know of 3 Diamond purchases for $25k

#22 5 years ago
Quoted from Cserold:

So, if you could still find a buyer at $25k, it seems like there's money to be made, even if you had to have the game shipped to them from BackFlipper's place. If you're local and can pick it up, it seems like there might be a few thousand to be made.

@backflipper, I'm curious, did you have to buy all 3 in order to get these or did you buy them hoping to recover some of your cost by selling at least one of them?

#23 5 years ago
Quoted from Ericc123:

Sounds like flipping to me but GLWS either way.

Is that a bad thing? If so I would love to be bad... wish I had 3-4 of these to flip!

GLWTS! Hope you get double!

He clearly states earlier in the thread that he is keeping the gold for his office and then listing both the other ones. Hes gonna keep the one that doesn't sell for his home.... Not that difficult to understand...

At least 2 Diamond and 4 Platinum went for 10k on the beatles store. Then sales of golds on the Beatles store flatlined. Zero sales in December. I bet the remaining 900-odd units they still need to run to get to 1964 total never get made.

I cant believe they are not selling for 2k more then anyone with the internet can find them for. I'm shocked.....

They sold at least 9 Golds in that first month at $2k over what you can get them for elsewhere, then they flatlined. Cost is not the reason they flatlined the next month (Dec).

Hot collectibles sell, regardless of pricing. Price is not the issue for the hardest of hardcore. See:Supreme. Beatles pinball is demonstrably not a hot collectible.

They made the wrong game with the greatest license of all time. Not the first Stern swing and a miss and certainly won’t be the last.

Very few people click on something and say, only 10k, I guess I'll just get one without any research. People love hot collectibles, they also love getting them as cheap as possible. You implying that lots of people will spend 10k on a random collectable that they know nothing about is ridiculous. Supreme is a terrible comparison, there's a fraction of them and they all sold at one place for one price. Nearly 2000 of a pinball machine is far from limited or even really collectible.

A miss for you is a home run for others. It's like some of you think every pinball machine is supposed to be made specifically for your own tastes and desires.

Well this sold quick and so did that used gold the other day for $7500. Couple hours on both.

No kidding. Its comical to see the people down voting and acting offended. The OP offered the game cheaper then most would have and it sold fast implying they likely left a little cash on the table.

#36 5 years ago

Yeah we all like overpriced machines being sold for more profit than Stern sells them for, it will really makes Stern and others willing to keep prices down on new machines coming out.

They only made 1000, and at this rate, likely will not go back and finish.

Okay, use Primus as a point of comparison. 100 of them - 10% as many made as the Beatles, and they were gone in just a few days. Beatles is a sales dud no matter how you slice it.

Of course... they both are being sold for less than original price with few or no plays... usually limited games are selling for a profit, not a loss in the first month of resales.

Nice selective edit sock sandals. I also said he could sell it for more on ebay you derp. Why bring it here so you can be lambasted when they are seilling for no hassle on the bay for more? Of course it will sell for under market here. Guessing tony picked it up for the quick 3k flip on ebay already.

I've purchased a NIB from Jim in the past, buy with confidence.

Glwts!

The guy sells a Beatles Diamond cheaper than almost any Beatles Diamond and gets price policed. Funny.

#41 5 years ago

Not sure why people try to ruin a perfectly good for sale thread. This guy is selling way below market value on this game and still gets pushed around. If you think it is not worth the money that's fine However you simply cant argue that 100 of something branded The Beatles is not a collectable. Value is in the eyes of the beholder. Time will tell if this is a 7k pin or a 50k pin. Only 100 of these worldwide. Once sold out I feel people will start wanting the unobtainable.

Beatles is a fun shooting game. It's a great escape from new modern pinball. Is there better games out there? Of course! Is the gameplay of any pin worth 25k plus? Personally I don't think so. However people who are buying this model of the game are not trying to justify gameplay to monetary value. People who are buying this model are trying to collect a very expensive limited availability piece of Beatles memorabilia. Let those people dictate how much it is worth. (Sorry if my Opinion Offends)

#42 5 years ago

Games Exchange has it listed for $9,999,999. They also have MBrLE listed for $1000 more than everyone else. People used to say they had the best prices. Did something change?

#43 5 years ago

There’s a diamond with a far worse number (falsely implied as #1) on eBay for 32k. Fun fact: there’s a supreme for 70k.

Just a simple mcdingle of a misunderstanding!

Calling the guy’s game “junk” and saying “take it to eBay” made it seem like you thought his offer here was offensive to the good people of pinside!

Ps if you can provide proof I’ve ever worn “sock Sandals” in my life I’ll buy you a haircut. And give you $20,000.

Another crappy comparison. Primus has not sold out, you can go to the bands website and buy them. It's also supposed to be the only place that you can get one although a few have popped up elsewhere. The Beatles is a normal distribution game for stern even if they do not call it one of their 3 main titles. Primus was a Private Label contract game made at the request of Primus who supposedly bought all 100 of them to sell as they like. You just saw a Beatles pin sell in a few hours for 10.5k over the stern price to distros. Not sure how you deem that as a dud.

It's all they know how to do. Not sure why a hobby that people supposedly enjoy makes them into such miserable people.

Good. No more bickering everyone, or take it to PM.
I'd hate to moderate people now... I already reached my quota for 2018!

PS: there is no quota... beware.
