You can't find a T2 with a nicer playfield.

It's mint, you see 7/10 condition ones selling for 3k locally. This is collector quality, if you don't have the $$ or interest, then move along to another thread.

Sorry but I disagree. I expect a 3k T2 to be perfect in every way. I hope you get fully asking, but I don't think there's too many people out there willing to drop that kind of coin on a T2 no matter how nice.

Might also help your cause to show off this beauty with tons of close up high res pictures of the game. GLWTS.

2500 and a sixer?

It seems lately if pins aren't priced to sell they've been sitting, The GB effect. GLWS OP

Rationale went out the window when you mentioned paying $4,500

It's all good, I'm in no rush. I agree, pins won't sell fast on here unless they are priced low.

Is what it is. T2 is a great pin, I love it. I just need cash, but won't undersell it. If the right buyer doesn't come along, I'll keep it.

Agreed. When I get some time this week, I'll post a ton of pics.

A mint collector quality T2 is a rare beast. They made a lot of them but like the OP stated you see the 7/10 ones go for $3000. Condition is key and I agree that more pics are needed to make the case. It is tough to find one without broken plastics around the skull and without some insert wear on the playfield. Theses games were routed and received lots of love. If this game is as nice as described in this market its not that unreasonable. Congos are going for $4500 in average condition and in my opinion T2 is 10x the game with 10x better theme. Good luck with the sale, be patient and let the close up pictures do the talking.

7/10 T2s are around $2k at best

People who say "go for" or "going for" don't know the difference between asking prices and selling prices.

#13 8 years ago

I have a T2 available for $2350 and it's the nicest one I've ever seen in person anywhere. The playfield is perfect except for one spot the size of a pin head. Plays like brand new still. It's been available for a month and there's been some interest and a few offers over $2K but just not quite enough for me to sell it without losing money. For $4500, I'd expect a professional photo shoot of the game to go with the ad, delivery, setup and white glove treatment with a year warranty and a trade in value of 80% of the cost.

Congos are not 4500 and there are way less Congo. 7/10 T2 go for 2k not 3k.

Not that unreasonable = unreasonable.

Anything is possible, the market will determine.

He was simple telling you he has just as good as pin as you have or better, and it's been sitting at a much lower price than yours. Lol Basically you over paid for the pinball and the people on here are knowledgeable about the real value of pinballs. Unless you get someone who really wants the title and has no care of overpaying. Chance are you need to drop the price to sell it on here. Also you placed this in the forum. If you don't want a open discussion you should place it in the market place only. Good luck either way

#17 8 years ago

Here is what pinside says about the pin. Here is a list of actual eBay auction with the sell price from pinpedia. I only look at USA auction that have multiple bids to get a rough estimate, then plus/minus depending on condition and title of pinball. I'm love T2 but would never pay more than 3k on a perfect machine. Imo and based on these facts

Price police are always out there, I understand that; but hijacking a thread to then point to his own pin is BS; if someone wants a collector quality, not a routed machine that was then rehabbed, then this T2 is for them. Plain and simple, like I have said, I'm in no rush to sell and will wait for the right buyer to come along.

Between your sky high price and your combative attitude towards others its a good thing you aren't in a rush. Only person I've seen get more downvotes in a forsale thread is choggard.

The market has spoken....listen to it. A mint T2 is a $2500 game folks.

The OP is 100% correct on this, no need to thumb him down for someone jumping in trying to sell there T2 in his thread. GEEZ PEOPLE!

If his T2 is worth any where near $4000 that means these chrome editions are worth $5000+ and my humbly modded example would be $4500. Id gladly sell mine and buy 2 more.

You should just shut this down and make a for sale thread without the comments section if you arent willing to discuss.

#24 8 years ago

I guess if you hijack a thread for free advertisement and it sells this way you dont have to pay fees to Pinside . Brilliant!

LOL, good point. Luckily im not selling a damn thing.

#26 8 years ago
Quoted from pinbum:

someone jumping in trying to sell there T2 in his thread

I wasn't trying to sell it here, I was pointing out that I have one in similar quality and condition for almost 1/2 the price in the same state that's had some interest but nothing concrete. A subtle "hey, your price is extremely high" without directly saying that. Then his hostile attitude prompted some extra responses from myself and others.

Quoted from pinbum:

hijack a thread for free advertisement

See above.

Quoted from pinbum:

you dont have to pay fees to Pinside

I gladly donate to Pinside on a regular basis and I have 4 active ads currently running that I will definitely be paying them a fee on. I don't see you jumping all over everyone in the "what's for sale" or "what are you bringing to the show" threads which are full of advertisements for games that are for sale, and no fees being collected on the majority of the deals happening on those.

You guys complaining about the feedback and responses of myself and others all crack me up. Talk about insecurities. Price things fairly and you won't have to take the heat. If you don't like people's opinions, don't make your sale thread a forum topic.

#27 8 years ago

When I see a for sale ad for a T2 with 20+ posts I know it's going to be good...I just didn't know it was going to be this good.

Quoted from dsmoke1986:

bwa

I hope not.

Yes he did say that. They go around here for $1800...recently.

Delicious...although whysnow racked some up with his AMH that was somehow a better deal than this.

Price police

Edit: Down voting getting called price police

#29 8 years ago

I typically don't like getting involved in FS threads, but I think when things are being said that are not true it serves a purpose.

#30 8 years ago

Price police? This is a F&^$ing price intervention man.

#31 8 years ago

Let's review the evidence:

1. OP puts a 100% premium on a $2k machine, not just in the market, but with a thread to discuss
2. OP does not post any pictures to justify the 2x premium
3. People discuss how this is high priced
4. OP is unhappy because he is totally surprised by the responses!!!

Makes perfect sense to me.

#32 8 years ago
Quoted from kvan99:

I will agree this is way overpriced and you need a heck of a lot better pics if you want to sell at a premium, but there is no way a truly mint T2 goes for $2500 in my neck of the woods. Would be gone in 5 seconds.

#33 8 years ago

I guess this is a 'price police' FS thread where I just kinda feel bad for the OP. Sounds like he made a rookie move and over paid. I am new to the hobby and I am still learning what is a "fair price". I bet even all you old salty veterans have overpaid on a pin at some point.

Good luck with the sale, OP.

#34 8 years ago
Quoted from Elicash:

Yep, and then we ate it and learned...we didn't then try to do the same thing to a bunch of salty vets

A premium example of ANY machine will typically bring a premium price. These are antique machines after all. I also agree it remains to be seen whether this is a premium example.

I don't believe T2 will typically go as high as $4k - but certainly can go more than $2500.00 as several have suggested.

I also have to say that it's certainly bad form to go into someone else's for sale thread and hijack it to advertise your own pin for sale. The OP was quite a bit more gentlemanly than I would have been about that.

Dsmoke - good luck with the sale.

#36 8 years ago

All good, does not bother me...I will post a bunch of pics of the boards, cab, playfield, everything.

All good, thx. I'll get a bunch of pics together of cabinet, playfield, boards, under playfield, etc.

#37 8 years ago

It cracks me up this one went up for 4000 and then another went up for 3500 a day or two later. The both are laughable to me but the other thread doesn't have a single post. I wonder if the other guy posted his hoping to cash in as well.

#38 8 years ago

I can relate I bought a pin, a must have, same circumstances kept one year sold it for at least 25% less. So you move on I had at least one years enjoyment. I listed it at 25% less than I bought it because that was the market.

I own snowmobiles do you think they have lower value after buying and using? Who cares there are worst things to spend money on especially if that's what you enjoy.

Agreed. Is what it is. I love this pin, it's fast, it's fun. Did I overpay? Probably, but seller I bought from is reputable, trustworthy, gave me a warranty and service if needed on it. It's all good

fair enough but you are also asking a premium and not offering a warranty and service needed

#47 8 years ago
Quoted from dsmoke1986:

You can't find a T2 with a nicer playfield.

This is why we jump on people. A second ago it was a but over priced, but what a playfield! What does it look like now?

#48 8 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

it serves a purpose.

what it serves is bumping a machine that ironically all the price police are down on, UP to the top so it will sell! That's the funny part of these threads. Same formula each time. Higher than average price by OP, pinsiders attack!!!! Get the pitchforks even though we aren't in the market for this game at all, 60 posts later, guy gets an offer and it sells.

#49 8 years ago
Quoted from dsmoke1986:

It was painted black, I bought it that way.

Which means the gun was probably rusted or all the chrome was worn out. Something that normally only happens on a heavily used game or poorly maintained.

Everyone seeing the coloring around the inserts? can;t tell on that clearcoat till better pics.
