Ohh, very rare. I have one also. I have never seen another one in person, or pictures either. Mine is operator rough, but will be restored someday.
I don’t think 200 were made, I would be surprised if there were 50 made. Probably way less.
I believe taxi was the very first game to have the diamonplate. Banzai was second, And I know for sure they only made 4 diamondplate banzai games.
I don’t think there is good data on the real production run on these Taxis. Decent chance it is well under 10.
Now I have to check my serial number to see how it started life.
It seems that you see a lot of other rare diamondplate games before you see a taxi. Diner, rollergames, BoPB, FH. And the production run on all these mentioned is in the under 200 range.
I wonder why, if 200 taxi DP games were made you almost never see them.
Like I mentioned, before these pictures I have never seen another one except the one I have.
