Item description

This extreme brass restoration was done by Mike Dallas, a wildly talented restorer. After purchasing from Mike in December, 2013, I added the following:

- ColorDMD,
- FF audio,
- Pinball Decals Gold Genie bottle,
- Pinball Bulbs LED's with added spots,
- Reinforced targets to eliminate airballs (@ BAZAAR scoop, ramp),
- Custom translite. Also comes with original translite in perfect condition.
- Purple TITAN rubber.

Hard to find a nicer TOTAN. Mike started with a HUO example. In addition to the recent photos, here are a couple links to a photo album and video that document the restoration.

Sorry Smirnoff but i have to do this.

Considering how long you've been doing this, you should know it's fairly priced.

Try buying a HUO TOTAN and sending it to any of the top-end restorers...will run 15-16k easy! (and that's without many of the upgrades).

Hey Larry...say what? Not sure I understand the comment...

I am just messing with you! I was trying to buy that TOTAN down here at the same time you purchased it lol.

Gotta ask this: Who is PMD ?

#9 7 years ago

He does awesome restorations.

This machine is super sweet.

I've got the WH20 Mike/PMD did and its every bit as good as any HEP. And obviously HEP is the gold standard.

Somebody else got a restored MB that Mike did too that was an absolute beauty.

My HEP AFM sits beside the PMD TOTAN and the TOTAN is every bit as beautiful. From my perspective, the big difference is Mike did this restoration for himself (and did stuff that isn't cost effective if he were doing this as a business). The same is true for the WH20 you picked up from him.

I believe this is one of the nicest TOTAN's in existence (and I've had restorations from the best in the resto business).

GLWS. Pretty sure the machine in this PMD video is the same one? The lamp may have been upgraded since the vid shoot??

Looks great!!

#14 7 years ago

Thanks for posting the video! Yes, that's the machine. The mods added after this video are: gold plated lamp, flipper fidelity audio, TITAN purple rubber, various lighting enhancements, ColorDMD, Invisiglass, custom translite.

Just lowered price from 12k->11k. Considering what average TOTAN's sell for, this "extreme" restoration is now value priced.

#16 7 years ago

Didn't MikeD sell this for like $7K? Pinside price check shows this. I would be interested, but at a much more reasonable price.

Super nice high end restored pins with the upgrades are substantially more than a nice original players.
