For $13k, I would have expected a new playfield, or one that isnt completely wasted.

#3 1 year ago

Agreed. It's not like the playfields are unobtainium, they've been around for years now.

Why go through all that trouble and work restoring the cabinet and leave that shitty playfield in there. Some of those inserts were touched up with a magic marker for Christ's sake.

Drives me up a wall.

#4 1 year ago

Why do a complete tear down when you don't replace the PF!?? I don't understand the logic you've down the work; do it right my man!!

A "few" of the inserts have ghosting

#6 1 year ago

that playfield is trash.

#7 1 year ago

What’s up with that apron?

#8 1 year ago

According to his post only "Pro's" can see ghosting, seriously, my blind grandmother can see how bad those inserts are.

This thread is giving me warm, fuzzy remembrances for when I was trying to sell my TOTAN here on Pinside. Good times!

#10 1 year ago

this is why you don't half ass a machine. would have been better off selling it as a project if you weren't going to actually fix the main issues.

It’s a total route King… that spot over the logo is the remanence of an old operator sticker.

I sold mine back in 2018 and I couldn’t give it away for $6k

This game probably has thousands and thousands of on hours… the incandescent bulbs heated those inserts to the point they started to lift in the playfield.

If you’re still trying to sell a beater TOTAN or trade hit me up lol. I’ll throw it in the basement and play the shit out of it.

Actually mine was a lot nicer than the subject game and is already sold to a nice guy up north. But thanks for asking. My experience was even though the game should command a high price I found there wasn't that many people interested, probably because companies are churning out new titles at the same price point.

It’s only real ghosting if it’s not “ghosting”. You “pros” should know that.

be easier to say 1 or 2 don't have ghosting!
