For sale: Tales from the Crypt

Not a theme for my kids, they’re scared of the Crypt Keeper. Haha. Fully working, cliffy installed by prior owner, playfield and cab in good condition. Topper fully intact and looks good. Extra bag of plastics included.

Update: a lot of people worried about the batteries, so I took the couple of minutes to clip off the pack, was clean underneath, but swept through with the white vinegar all the same. Nothing has dropped to other components. So officially reconfirming boards are clean as I stated in the forums, and with some more time I will install a remote battery pack, or you can grab a NVRAM.

Any pics of the exploded batteries or what damage they caused on the MPU?

I doubt anyone will buy this without seeing some close-ups of the motherboard, which may be toast due to the batteries. That's potentially a big problem.

Well I was just asking because there aren’t any pictures of the game booted up. While realizing it’s not easy to turn on the toggle switch on with the game flat on the ground off the legs.

MPU is always a concern with DE games. Expensive as hell to replace or find a good used one. The ad does say the game is fully working.

Hi Colson, sure thing, wee below. It’s very localized, not like others where there’s a ton of drip page on components below. Should clean up well.

The game boots fine, you had it right, the game is on the ground and this weekend I had my appendix taken out, so I can’t lift it to turn on right now. There is a shaker and a cliffy installed, but those are the only upgrades I see.

Thanks! Someone came out today to check it out and helped me lift it onto a board so we could flip the switch on for him and any others that want to check it out. Like I said, we booted it up, plays fine, and he is considering it. So we kept it on the board.

To others, yes, I see this as a Pinside average game, which is where I priced it. It’s not immaculate, No color DMD or pricey extras therefore not above the average, but the issues are clean up some corrosion and change out a drop target. It does not have not a damaged playfield or board issues on it, Cab and DMD look good, I’m not shopping it out myself and calling it worth more which we all have seen others do, so yes, to me it seems average. Do with that info what you will and always open if you want to check it out, But I won’t be taking any $1500 offers.

Update for everyone, finally got a minute after an appendix removal and other things to clip off the battery pack. Was very clean underneath, but of course swept through with white vinegar just in case. Now I just need to find my remote battery packs, but plays perfect, and officially setting it up for the guys coming over for fight night.

Why bother remote battery pack......it takes a minute to NVRAM that thing....just pop out the chip (it's socketed!!!), put in the NVRAM...done...if fact all DE's have no excuse to not be NVRAM'd since it is so damn easy....
