A fool and his money…

Brand spanking new account, and first post nonetheless. I'm bailing on this thread before it gets rolling. The Varkon thread was toxic enough.

GLWS ...

#7 48 days ago

Whatever happened to Supreme? Now we know.

#8 48 days ago

Ironic as Supreme isn't a big draw any longer (never should have been), and pinball isn't as on fire as it was a few years ago. This should be interesting.

#9 48 days ago

Watching and enjoying.

Good luck with the Sale!

Stop

Kaneda says wait and see - may be $ 75,000 in a few months..

#12 48 days ago

If I c another post from CoolCat, I will blow a gasket, NOT....

#13 48 days ago

First post of the year candidate?

Wait, Australia, this isn't Haggis' recapitalization plan is it? Sell other machines that you will never get to fund "making" other games, that you will also never get.

#14 48 days ago

Always back an Aussie...

#15 48 days ago

Maybe he'll do a $100 per day price drop like the Varkon guy?? Then this will make sense in ~2 years...

#16 48 days ago

Just a quick reminder : Supreme is only a Spider-Man home edition without animation in white and red.
Maybe the original is better and cheaper, just sayin

Wow thanks for that deep cut of pinball knowledge!

I was THIS close to wasting $78,000...

Bargain!

congratulation, you just saved $75,000 !

Which one would you pick ? left or right ? the left seems more fun to me.

Looks to profit by keeping in the box: $70,000 usd

Looks to save by bravely allowing comments on this ad: $5 usd

#21 48 days ago

$80k can buy one shitty pretentious game or ten fun enjoyable games. This is a tough one.

Well, I'd definitely take the one on the right as it comes in an actual pinball cabinet. The one on the left is in some weird, misshapen plastic tub with a shitty speaker pointed right at your crotch!

Has this ever been a prestige item, outside of a few peoples heads?

There's a few people who are enthralled with the brand for whatever reason. I don't really understand it myself.

Right

#26 48 days ago

$ 10,000 by Christmas. Surprised I beat everyone else to this.

I’m surprised someone is publicly willing to admit they actually bought one of these, AND is still holding onto it NIB.

The brand is so yesterday.

Played one at Caesar’s palace in Vegas. An ugly POS imo.

*Open box.

Must have been some convo with the customs folks over that.

#34 48 days ago

I'm sure one of the three Zoomers that use this site will be tempted by this.

#35 48 days ago

If someone is dumb enough to spend this kind of money on this terrible game, then good on the seller. I would say this is just a piece of history for a rich collector much like spending millions of dollars on art. I don't get it but if someone out there is willing to buy it then I am jealous on not buying a few of these myself for 10K at the time and flipping it. It is not like this game would ever be played by a real pinball player anyway, or impact future sales on any other game so go for it find a rich dude that has nothing better to do with his/her money.

#36 48 days ago

Some of you noobs may want to go back to where this all started...

It's a pretty amazing journey of discovery!

OK...I've been into pinball longer than some of your parents have been alive.

What the hell is BNIB? Broken New In Box?????

#38 48 days ago

Is that US dollars or Australian dollars?

Trying to figure out if the one here for $60k would be the over all better deal.

Some of you really ought to look in the mirror and at your own collections and what you are paying for them when you start knocking what themes others like.

#42 48 days ago

You know, the more I thought about it, the funnier this price is. I wouldn't even pay EIGHT thousand for this, nevermind 80. 80 THOUSAND dollars. Lol. There is like 800 dollars of parts here.

My collection never stares back and screams 80k theme.

I look at it as consolidation. Think how many one could get rid of and how much space would be available by trading in a bunch of lessor themes for one grand theme like Supreme.

Except it isn't grand...

#46 48 days ago

Well, I've seen one in person and it is a pretty sharp looking machine nonetheless. Some of these other themes as of late with their gaudy artwork I wouldn't let anywhere near my house. Sometimes you gotta pay a little extra for that.

Still a little high though. I'm waiting for them to crack the $50k ceiling. If they ever do.

I'd currently be in for a mediocre journey of discovery. It's too early in the day for me to be able to handle an amazing one.

#48 48 days ago

I would try and sell it for 20,000 before Supreme falls entirely out of the hype ladder, they're almost there.

I have no games that I've paid 5 digits for.

Although, to be fair, I heard about someone recently who actually likes Popeye. So, I suppose there's a game out there for everyone

I do and it's only money in the bank the way I see it. Plus, if the banks go under, I still have them.

And who knows, in 20 years some Supreme kids with lots of money will want to relive their youth. Then they will have to come see me.
