Item description

1979 Bally Supersonic
This one is a bit of a head-scratcher.
Full cabinet repaint, done very well.
Back glass is original and near perfect.
Now, the playfield has me stumped. It appears that it has been repopulated w/all new everything, all plastics, bumpers, targets, the lot... all new and beautiful.
BUT... the Playfield artwork itself looks like an overlay (?) that did not have mylar applied, nor clear coat? I'm puzzled by it because clearly a lot of work was done to the machine and it plays beautifully.... But why go through all the trouble of restoring it only to leave the overlay as it is?
Now, I could be missing something.... Could it be a factory foul up? Or is it correct but just looks incorrect to me? I really don’t know.
I bought it with the intention of finding another unpopulated Playfield and swapping out.
If you have a Playfield this could supply you with the rest of what you need to have a great Supersonic.
More machines from my collection to be listed.
I am not a Pinball Flipper... the machines I will be listing are from my personal collection.
All reasonable offers will be considered.
I have been collecting for some time and I have had my share of disappointments. I will describe the machines as best I can, honestly, so you know that what you see is what you are going to receive if you purchase a machine.
A short video of the game functioning is available upon request.
Please look at the photos carefully and ask any questions you might have.
All sales are final.
Thank you.
