Item description

Rare, Mario mushroom world pinball in working condition. Super reliable, system 3 Gottlieb. I had www.pookiespinballs.com do a "level 2" restoration on this game about 3 years ago. That was $900+. It was fully LED'ed at that time also. It has some paint loss on the cabinet and some minor wear spots on the PF. But it's still probably one of the nicer examples you'll find of this game. The rotating light on top of the backbox and coin slot lights even work!
I had my local auto body shop paint and clear the rails, legs and lockdown bar. They do have some paint loss from 3 years of light use and being taken to Southern Fried Gaming Expo for public freeplay a couple years.
Comes with ticket dispenser, operators manual and all keys.
Come play it in my arcade in lithia springs prior to purchase if you like.

Christmas EBay Pricing ?

The last one that sold on pinside was for $5500. I figured I'd start there.

Damn Don. How are you going to bash Uptown Pinball’s pricing when you have a “Kobe” pin listed at 16k? Tisk Tisk

Quoted from 3pinballs:

Well you should also see his other listing on Ebay.... ebay.com link » King Kong 3d Wall Art Massive 13x7x3 Fiberglass Wood Indoor Or Outdoor

STALK MUCH? LOL

If their games were listed on ebay for crazy prices, that's fine. That's the place for crazy prices...some people will actually pay stupid money on ebay. I sold a bally space invaders on ebay for $7500 a couple years back. I've sold lots of things on ebay for what most people would think were stupid high prices BUT someone thought the item was priced right and bought it. NBA will sell there eventually. Maybe not for $16k... probably $10k though

FB pinball sales groups and pinside aren't the place for high prices unless the seller has thick skin. Uptown took all the pinside average prices and added $1k to $2k to come up with their prices. It's not hard to research sold prices. Of course they're going to get called out.

If I put a game on FB or one of the pinball sites where I know the price police are gonna take notice, I price it fairly. The NBA that's on ebay now for $16k, I put on pinside for the pinside suggested price (I think it was $4k then?) and the price police here still had a field day telling me how shitty the game is and how my price was ridiculous. LOL

If you don't think a MMRW is worth $5500, I get that. I don't either! Someone did value it at $5500 because the last one sold on pinside for that amount. Why would I start at a lower price unless I need it gone asap? And, another one just sold for $4400 on FB. If I were to put this on ebay, I'd start at $7000. I used to make a living selling on ebay and amazon. I truly hate ebay now though. i have a couple listings there now but used to have 900+ listings running all the time.

What if I put my newest game on pinside for $13k like the other one that's for sale right now? Or another JP LE that's on atlanta CL now for $12,500? Would ya'll police that too? Just curious.

I was offered $3500 for that king kong. I paid $600. It's going on my wall unless someone wants to spend crazy money on it. There's only 1 other one in the country.

LOL I bet you would think that as a SMB Mushroom world pin owner. You sound like Whysnow with that price pumping bullshit.

Just go look at pinside recent sales. Actual buyers are the only people "pumping" the price. Why so many haters here? I get that it's covid19 and most of you are stuck at home, broke, bored out of your mind with nothing better to do than shit on peoples posts. May I suggest getting a new hobby... one that you can afford, like collecting matchboxes or beanie babies or gi joes or popsicle sticks? Too costly for you? Ok then maybe get a pet. You don't have to spend $1000's on a pure breed. You can get a rescue from the shelter for not a lot of money and sometimes even free. But please don't forget you'll have to buy food to feed the pet.

Step away from the computer and from pinside. Go hang out with your loved ones (if you have any) and stop the bile spewing. Thanks.

And just like that, this thread is price policed. Now, OP gets angry. Next, Price police get angry. Then, About a hundred posts of nonsense, then the thread is forgotten and no one gives a shit anymore. Just wait. It'll happen.

haha you just described the entire pinside marketplace in less than 30 words! If it wasn't for the incredible tech advice, I wouldn't even bother with this place. You're only ever going to have a chance at selling a game here if it's priced drastically below the pinside average. Otherwise the peanut gallery can't STFU about your listing. It's just stupid. So many pinball people WILL NOT even come to pinside because of the 100's of assholes that post here.

Quoted from HighVoltage:

Since there's a lot of price points being thrown around as reference for potential buyers, I thought I'd add one too.
A local one in nice condition recently sold for $3000.

ok that's great. Before I lower my price to $3000, can you possibly post a link or pics of this nice, local, $3k MMRW that just sold or should we all just believe you... because after all, if it's posted on the internet (and especially on pinside!), it has to be true.

Quoted from orlandu81:

I just got one of these a couple months ago, paid much more than $3K. Too bad I wasn't aware of the one you are referencing, I would have been all over it for $3K. I sold my full sized SMB for WAY more than $3K recently as well. I will also add I paid less than the seller is asking in this ad and mine was in nicer condition, and I also live in the most price-inflated area of the country when it comes to pins and vids.
No price pumping here, this pin is unique and not for the competitive player obviously but it does have its benefits. I'm only chiming in because I feel the seller is getting picked on a bit here for his price. Price policing isn't cool no matter how pumped up the price some people may think it is.

He's full of sh*t. Don't feel like you overpaid. There's no nice, $3k, MMRW

Quoted from pinlink:

Yes, I am so very poor, you have so much more money than me. Hopefully one day I can afford to be in pinball as a hobby.
I wasn't even directing my comment towards you, but to the person actually pumping the price of your shitty little pin because they own one themselves.
I would put BBBB above SMB MW in terms of gameplay and fun.
If you're looking to spend this much on a pin, my advice is to find something better/more fun/full size.
There you go.

It's OK. Someday you will buy a pinball game and add it to your pinside "collection". Keep saving those returnable cans and bottles!

Congrats! I'm not saying I won't sell for less than $5500. I'm just starting my price at the most recent sales price of this particular game on pinside. I can always go down. Kinda hard to go up.

I'd love to see your nicer condition game and hear how you paid for it. It will help me in valuing mine.

#34 3 years ago
Quoted from pinlink:

I know, man. I just wish I had as much money as you. But I am just so damn poor according to you . Gosh I bet all the girls want to be with you, and all the guys want to be you. Because you just have SO MUCH MONEY!!
Maybe one day...

You have no games in your collection... no location, no nothing. What is anyone supposed to think? You're here spouting off about how much pinball games are worth but you don't even own one? You embody the pinside price police & the peanut gallery. In a nutshell, you are the problem with pinside. You know everything about pinball and value but you don't even own a game or have a real username or profile. LOL STFU. How pinside allows users like you here is beyond me?

I think your mom just yelled from upstairs that Pat from antifa is on the phone for you. Run up from the basement and see what Pat wants. Probably another "peaceful protest" you're needed at. Make sure you wear your full black face mask so nobody knows who you are. Kinda like here huh?

Quoted from Charliew65:

every time i see the op comment there is always a negative tone, maybe people just don’t want to deal with you? It probably doesn’t help you tell everyone I bought this huge POS for $600 and i can’t find another one in the whole world now now i think its worth 14k. A basketball player died so no my POS basketball pin is now worth 16k. Its not that people don’t have $$ its just you sort of seem like that creepy uncle. GLWS

Of course Im gonna respond negatively to a negative price police

Quoted from DakotaMike:

I've never seen anyone called out for listing a game within, or even a bit above, the pinside price range, unless the game in question has major flaws or defects. But maybe I've missed something.

Agreed.
