Item description

Trying to find a home for this special Super Mario, would prefer it be sold to someone who will use it for what is and NOT convert it back into a regular cabinet. I have considered donating it to a hospital or charity but unfortunately am not in a financial position to do that right now. I am however willing to sell or trade it at a loss to the right person/place. Has a color Pin2DMD in it and fresh cabinet decals. The four buttons on the front are, from left to right, “Start” Left Flipper” “Right Flipper” “Launch Ball”. The side flipper buttons still work as well. LEDs in back box but not on playfield. Game was converted by a company called Arcade Access. Send me a message if you have any other questions. The reg cab in the pics is NOT included!

Quoted from RazorV23:

I have considered donating it to a hospital or charity but unfortunately am not in a financial position to do that right now.

If someone were willing to start a page where Pinsiders could donate towards this game getting donated to a proper charity or hospital, and we can get it stickied at the top of the forum, I think you'll hit your target price very quickly and this game can continue to serve its' awesome purpose.

Anyone able to get that all set up? I'd be happy to make the first donation.

I’d be more happy to do that, there is a localish place to me called Spinners that is an Autism charity that has expressed interest in it.

Is this the game that was on eBay earlier this year???
I saw this and thought it was fascinating!! Too bad the company doesn’t seem to have converted anything else for accessibility. I hope to see this go to the right place!
Also what’s the deal with the spare cabinet? Did you swap the playfield between the 2 for regular play?

SOLD... I want to buy this and donate to a children's hospital for use.

There is no way that machine as built is not going to go where it needs to go. I'm buying it and placing it into one of our children's hospitals we places games at. Most likely St Christopher's in Philadelphia. The wheelchair accessibility is so cool. I'm going to tell a quick story... We donated a WOZ to another hospital CHOP also in Philly and at the donation ceremony there was a young boy who just lost his leg. He would jump up and out of his wheelchair every time it was his turn. At one point I saw one of the nurses crying... I went over and said, 'Hey what's going on this is good stuff'... and she said 'You don't understand, you don't realize how much this will mean for these kids, I'm his therapist and I work every day to get him to want to stand up and get out of the chair and he fights me, to see him jump up to play the pinball is amazing.' Of course I did all I could to keep the tears in my eyes, but it was a losing proposition. lol...
I have some pics of the boy somewhere I'll try to find and post. Even though that boy needed to get up, there are many that can't and this is perfect ! It's a rarity and needs to be used for what it was made for.

I need to confirm this is ok with the hospital - so if seller doesn't mind to hold this for a day for me to confirm this is approved by them. I'd like to get this where it needs to go. I have a disabled child myself so this is a personal thing for me to merge something I care about and this great hobby.

Pics... you can see the boy I mentioned and also another confined to a wheelchair struggling to lean up to play. Proof of how this machine is needed.

Fantastic news!

I traded a game with Razorv23 a while back and got a Big Guns in return. He did a fantastic job fixing it up. I'm sure the kids will love it!

#12 4 years ago

Razorv23 I'll be PMing to discuss...

BUT.. If I can make this a go with hospital which I don't forsee being a problem... Is there anyone in the Annapolis, MD area willing to bring this machine to Philadelphia to the hospital at some point ? Since it's an 8 hour round trip for me - if we can get someone to donate a day down that way maybe we can make this a group effort towards success ? No rush obviously. Maybe take donations if needed for whoever steps up to help pay for gas / tolls / meals etc... ?

Yes it was the one on eBay. I bought the other cab to convert it back but decided not to

Deal done ! Had a nice chat with Justin the seller game is sold and will be on it's way to St Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philly. I do need to try to see if we can locate someone who is willing (happy to pay) to bring the game from Justin (Edgewater MD) to either the hospital in Philly or to someone in Philly I can have accept it and do the delivery to the hospital. Very long drive for me to do all this as I'm 4 hours away from Justin in MD... Anyone who is willing to help do this run ? Again, I am happy to pay. No rush on timing. Email me at [email protected].
Joe

ps. My delivery guy is tied up for a few weeks... so I also have runs that need be done as follows if anyone is interested... Might be able to be combined with the SMB / Hospital run ? All games will be ready to go - wrapped up ready to load. If anyone can do any of these or all let me know ! TY

1. ACNC from Pittsburgh PA to Bel Air MD
2. SMB from Edgewater MD to Philadelphia PA
3. Getaway from Middletown DE to West Pittston, PA (northeast PA)
maybe one other game as part of this... I can go over with anyone interested.
