70 posts, 62 of which are FS ads, 59 of which are marked as unsold.

Get this guy out of here. A blemish on this site.

Anyone remember this video? Only someone as crazy as him would pay $8,000 for a SMB.

#55 5 years ago

I think a pristine super mario pin could bring $3500-$4500. I’d buy at that price.

i have 2 that are pristine. if you are at $4500 each please pm me. ill even include packing and shipping (im serious).

#65 5 years ago

8k would be the right price if the cab was full of magic mushrooms.

#66 5 years ago

Paid $800 back in 2012 for my first pin, SMB. Hauled it down three flights of stairs in the projects. Sold it a year later for $1500. It’s fun but for 8K I can get two much more fun games.

#67 5 years ago

pinside price police had this spotted fast

definitely has a typo zero on price.

Time to put your money were your mouth is. The OP is counting on it.

New price is still high but at least it's getting closer

Just wait a little while longer, another cut in half will be around the right number

It’s funny cause I’ve watched Maxmofo back when he was a streamer, and then when he became a popular YouTuber, and never saw this old video till much later, and I thought it was hilarious. He’s in Australia, so of course it cost him an arm and a leg.

#83 5 years ago

I think this would sell for between 2500-3000 today. Depends on the demand for anything Mario especially this pinball machine. As a pinball machine it's pretty average but people want this for theme alone. I had this in my collection I paid $1000 for it. Sold it for $2000. GLWTS.

Yep, I'm eager to see his response now that the price is within his ballpark.

For you guys looking for this pin, here you go. There are a few wanted ads here on pinside. That alone shows that there is demand for this title. Is it a top 100 pin? No, but it’s a theme a lot of people like

I'd like to own this as my first pin too. I'm new but still know the price is nutty.

Now ask them how much they're willing to pay. A want ad doesn't mean they're willing to pay top dollar.

#92 5 years ago

I see its now Down to $3500

#94 5 years ago

Luke warm. Why am I bumping this thread? DAMMIT!

#95 5 years ago

This was an absolute brilliant way to get more people to view an ad. Notice the price didn’t stay at 8k for very long. #fedoratip

#96 5 years ago

In the last six or seven years due to “pinflation” I have only lost money on one pinball machine. It’s was SMB. I paid a little much for it to start with because my boy wanted it. It was a decent game for a Gottlieb. They are all just kind of meh.... I’d own it again but unfortunately the non-pinhead crowd is who drives this one up in cost. Op would have a better chance of selling it on Craigslist IMO. Might get closer to his asking price that way.

#97 5 years ago

At this rate it should be free by the end of the week!

#98 5 years ago
Quoted from Chicoman:

but people want this for theme alone.

Pretty much the only reason I bought one. Got my copy for under $2K last year, and I'm not sure I'd pay much more than that personally. It's a cute game. Lots of fun if you're just looking for something to play for a bit and shut your brain off for a little while.

However, the classic video game market is white hot right now. Old games cartridges are going for stupid money. I can see this game slowly rising in price in time for that reason alone.

#99 5 years ago

There is some classic gaming history to this machine too. It was the first Nintendo game with Charles Martinet as the voice of Mario. GLWS!

#100 5 years ago

No more price dropping. It is now "Firm".
