Really need that extra hundo in the price huh.

    #4 53 days ago

I’m confused…this must be for two machines, right?

    #6 53 days ago

    that's about $4-5000 too much

I'm not commenting on the asking price but are you telling me you think a STh Premium with powder coat, topper, and a UV kit is worth 8k right now?

    probably with UV kit etc..

It always kind of bugged me that the UV kit was so much money and at times was out of stock or hard to find.

YES or somewhere close to $8k.

    #12 53 days ago

Find me one for 8k with just the UV kit and topper.

Someone contacted me recently and said they sold one in similar condition (no powder coat) for 10.5k for what’s it’s worth. Prices are nuts right now, but people are paying.

I have come to the realization that games are more expensive and at my age that I'd rather 'pay too much' and get a game I want rather than find the best deal that might be on a game I don't want as much.

I was thinking about Stranger Things, was impressed with the projector and UV light but to me the shots weren't interesting enough (the major toy was the Demogorgon shot which is not my favorite) and I gravitated to BM66 and finding that they are hard to find and expensive, like a nice premium with mods at $9K.

    #16 53 days ago

i dont want to sell my Stranger Things LE, but if this keeps going up I may have to sell it. LE with UV/topper 14k?

practically no one says BM66 has great shots or a great layout. BM66 is all about the code. the layout is pretty bad. STh shoots much better than BM66.

Yes. With way way worse art and callouts. Oh, and some guy name Lyman did the code.

it would be gone if I owned one. there is not a pinball machine I would not sell instantly if I could make $5k or $6k profit.

    This hobby is getting toxic.

    #23 53 days ago

No, it's getting even more popular, and games are simply hard to manufacture right now.

Yep. I got offers at 12k to ship, but I don’t do that. If someone shows up with that to my house, it’s theirs. Haha

Literally everything is inflated at the moment, but 13k for a stern premium is just bonkers.

Try to buy an air conditioner for your home right now, you won’t be ready for the bill, haha.

None of you have any love for the GOTG at 14,500? At least that one is settled on a price. It started at 7500 six hours ago, went to 10k, then 13k and now 14.5k.

im the same way. people get mad at me but i only do deals in person. I want them to see and play the game and attest to it being in good shape.

Now you guys have me worrying about my A/C. Good thing I have the home warranty.

    #31 53 days ago

Asking $13k and getting $13k are completely different. Especially when the cabinet has issues. Nuts. Just nuts.

    #32 53 days ago

I’m both appalled by the price but also very much want this. I’d probably pay 9.5 for it. I mean I personally won’t, but I would if I weren’t poor and had the space and lived free of judgement from my girlfriend.

    #34 52 days ago

$13k is an LE price but Prems are def going in the $8000-$9000 range with UV and topper easy. I paid $6500 for my Prem including UV with 287 plays on it when everyone (except chuckwurt ) hated it back in early 2020. It’s worth the price increase IMO.

Throw it out there for 15-16k. I was thinking something similar with my Deadpool LE when a premium sold high recently. I should toss my LE out for 15k. It only has just over 100 plays maybe someone would bite lol.

man i've been away from this hobby for about 2 years and I can't believe some of the prices that sellers be asking for. Dafaq is going on with the market?

Except this one isn't a standard Premium. It's had the "Refinery" treatment, putting it on the level of an LE easy.

Also, you're right on no one wanting it back then. Saw a Premium sitting with a local dealer priced at $7k, with less than 10 plays, and it took over 6 months to finally sell.

All the “refinery treatment “ things can be readily duplicated on A NIB machine for far less than his asking price. LE prices are also crazy but at least there is some basis for it other than paying (and eventually losing) a premium to get a machine sooner.

What did the Refinery version sell for new?

The "Michigan Pinball Refinery" does custom one-off versions of games. Not sure what their prices are. But you can see their other work here:

When you post your game for sale on an open forum, you open it up to be critiqued. It is overpriced by a lot. LEs aren't selling for this much.
