Quoted from kruzman:This is an awesome title. I bought one and had it shipped from new hampshire. I never ship games, but I wanted it and the seller insisted that it works 100%. which is the most important thing to me, and here is why. I work on pinball 7 days a week from sun up till 10 pm most days, and if I had time I wouldnt use it to work on games. so I dont look for deals any more just fully working games. even better shopped or restored with a new pf.
So the star race gets here and I am excited to play, and not only are the pop bumpers not wired, but there are no nuts holding the metal circles legs to the yolk underneith. The flippers are not assembled, and the game was shopped and the wrong size star posts were used so that the 2 vari targets get stuck on the plastics and damage them, and the plastics are too low behind the drop targets, so they will get broken. This is all I have found because I havent got to play a game yet, I am sure there is more. Its been sitting in my living room for 6 months now. The seller cleaned the pf very nice though. so much for 100% working.
ANYWAY, if I ever get it running, I think it will be awesome, and the sellers price is very low, I think I paid 1200-or 1400, not sure.
Beautiful artwork and the pf shots look like one of those that just worked out perfect, like a steve ritchie game.
No one seems to want these older solid states Ron and they are really missing out. I have owned a Star Race for about 4 years now and will probably never part with it. Not only is she a beauty, but also a behemoth. The price he is asking is low in my opinion too.
