Thinking of selling the one you got for 4500?

Isn't the rumor that Stern will remake these ala Seawitch/Beatles?

They should. Prices for these are just silly at this point.

Prices on sea witch didn’t drop when Beatles came out, they rose.

Also it’s not a remake. Different game.

If they rethemed and modernized it like they did Seawitch/Beatles it wouldn’t scratch the value of the original. I’d love this game in my collection, but I am 100% out of space.

GLWS.

Pretty sure the rumor was for quicksilver reskin

Also, seawitch went up slightly but then again all the classics went up. Seawitch has not gone up any more than others.

With higher cost games like quicksilver we may actually see them decrease is a reskin comes out

Didn't mean to imply that it would effect the price (although it certainly could), just that Stern should take note on what they could sell these for.

I'm don't think Stern would remake any of the classic titles. They are selling all of the new stuff they produce just fine, and probably at a pretty good margin.

I think they could do it and be very profitable. They have to be at least considering it.

Sure, they may not sell as many units as Stranger Things or whatever the newest title is, but they also don't have to do any of the R&D, whitewooding, etc. The margins would be better than a new licensed title for sure. They would need to get some of the mechs rebuilt (drop target banks, etc.), but no different than getting new mechs built for a new pin. It could (should!) be done.

Would be cool to see them produce some of the Stern Classics, or license the titles out for someone else to produce and sell them like CGC.

I’m not sure who owns the rights to all of the classic stern IP. I believe Gary had a divorce back in the classic Stern days which partially led to the end of that company. I’ve not had any friends license any classic Stern, so I’ve never really looked at it. Current Stern has used the IP before, but that doesn’t mean own it.

Back on topic, this classic Star Gazer is really nice.
