The game was custom built from the ground up, this is not a restoration, I would classify it as a new clone.

Everything on it is new:

new plastics
new switches
new yellow targets
new posts
new coils
new flipper assemblies
all new light sockets
new cabinet decal / paint
altec boards
new legs/ glass
new lockdown bar
re decaled apron
Custom built wire harness with all new connectors.
... basically every new part/ screw PBR sells

Paging Joe Kaminkow, get on those remakes.

Seriously though, beautiful example of possibly my favorite game of all time. I can't afford it, but it's worth it.

It would be. I agree.

But I had a playfield done by tdiddy and his work is superb. Tough to trade away something that nice. It's rare.

@tiddy: Where's mike? Could always sell to him for $12,500.00.

The problem is I drool over all the pins Tom touches! Can’t believe your selling this one mr Thomas! Your gonna be sorry and whomever buys this will giggle like an 8 yr old on Christmas morning opening presents. This pin looks better than new! Honestly a pretty ass machine.

Bump for a beauty and a great seller!

Would never even consider shipping something like this.

Beautiful pin and there is no doubt about the time and effort that went into it. However, I do feel that collectors want an actual Star Gazer with the manufacturer’s serial number and history of knowing it’s one of the coveted originals that survived all these years later. Just my two cents on why it may not be selling at this price.

Sure, that would matter to some collectors. Not all. I would be ecstatic to have this game in my lineup. More of a distance issue than price for me.

The price is high, but you’re essentially getting an NIB 1980 solid-state game. Personally, I would choose that over a players condition original with serial numbers any day of the week. Old SS games that are priced high always sell eventually if they are extremely nice, just need the right buyer.

Agreed, it's not like I'm not getting offers. Just haven't found the right game or buyer. It will sell or be traded at some point.
