Been looking for a nice one for a couple years now. This is a keeper for me. ForensicD and I gonna fix er up nice.

#11 6 years ago

Pretty damn stoked to get this. Should I take off original side rails and legs and put new powder coated ones on (to save originals) or just have everything replated? Coin door too.

#12 6 years ago

Sindbad always had steel rails and legs. I think it would look very odd to see anything powder coated.

For the door, derust, and buff using a 6" cotton orbital pad. Most of the steel parts are just steel with no plating. I think the only exception Is the metal channel at the rear of the cabinet that holds the playfield glass.

I'm thinking new chrome I guess.

#15 6 years ago

No. New chrome too bright. Is there a tarnished chrome?

#16 6 years ago

Congrats man!! Great game. I have had mine for years and years. Still love to play it.

#17 6 years ago

I think Hep nickel plates his under playfield parts. Maybe that's what your looking for.

The GI lighting comes straight from the transformer. It doesn't mean a whole lot for the rest of the game, unfortunately. At the very least, everything needs to be repinned.

However, replacement boards aren't incredibly expensive, so that's a plus.

Can you take a couple photos of the boards to show the state that they are in?

Schmitty is a good dude, and the machine looks pretty nice. I just decided I'm not in the market for a non-working Sinbad...over my head.

#27 6 years ago

I'll see if I can get it working for ya gryszzz

#28 6 years ago

Cabinet, backglass & playfield look great. Boards look pretty good too. You (or the buyer) should remove that battery asap. Repinning connectors will probably clear up a lot of issues. I'm tempted, and I already have a nice Sinbad! GLWS.

I wish I was closer. Anyone coming west that can bring it closer to Nebraska? (never hurts to ask )

#30 6 years ago

Ugh this looks good. Let me make some calls.

Just get the pascal board for it. I did it with my joker poker. I'd do it with this one.

For one. The pascal gets rid of all the boards in the backbox and combines them into 1. All the roms for every system 1 game are already on the board with dip switches. and you can put your high scores in. It' kind of pricy at $400 shipped from europe, but it's worth it.
