Item description
Jaw dropping Shadow here. It has had the works done to it. Fully stripped & polished & while I was at that, I installed 2 new & much improved ramps from Mantis & installed ALL titan bands for the rubbers & replaced the flipper bats themselves. Replaced some coil sleeves, tweaked switch gaps, etc. Game is fast & dialed in. Then I upgraded the close yellow standups to the heavy duty ones from Marco's. No more ball jumping, those suckers are strong, was great to replace the ones that have been hit a million times at high speed over the past 25 years. New balls.
Also just installed mirror blades & the game got high end LED treatment. Color matched NO FLIX LED for all cpu controlled lamps. Then a mix of cool & warm white 2smd frosted for the GI. Warm vs cool determined by the artwork color of the above plastic or surrounding area. Looks great & gives game some contrast without ugly color bombing. LED flashers everywhere but domes. Type, color & number of SMD flasher type determined by location, line of sight, etc. Again only warm white or cool white for flashers except I do think I used a red flasher for the red insert on the battlefield.
Custom translite installed which I love sooo much more than the original. As well as the city scape decal added to the once barren back panel.
Condition is really good overall. Any plastic cracks are very minimal, no missing chunks. Same with the cab, just a few nicks here & there mainly on the head decals, but no huge gouges or chunks missing. Very nice overall for a game this age. Playfield is pretty exceptional too. Look how clean & zero wear at the typical spots like kickouts & rollovers. Only thing of note is some slight insert separation around the mode lamps, which is common. Sanctum had very minimal wear, but I installed the overlay decal sold by a fellow pinsider because I actually think it looks good & the ball stops on it.
Also added flipper fidelity speakers (w/ cab/head volume controller). These made such a difference on this title, more so than on other titles I've installed them on, so I'm glad I went ahead with it. Lastly 2 optional components as I can use these on other games if not wanted. Color DMD for $400 more as well as pinnovators headphone jack for $100.
I went all in on this machine. Lots of money & labor spent to make it this nice. Not the easiest game to shop (properly) & especially swap out those ramps. Labor of love though, as always!
