For sale: Scared Stiff - Last price drop

Added: April 30th, 2018 Ended: May 16th, 2018
Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished

Item description

If it doesn't sell it goes in storage.

Great condition Scared Stiff. Playfield is super clean and no wear in front of the crate. Only issue I see are two small holes, one near each outlane where they must have lowered the bumpers. I'm meticulous about shopping my games. This plays flawlessly. $6000 with color dmd.

Extras:
Skull pile lights
Color DMD
Cliffys
Ramp protector refurbish kit
mirror blades
LEDs
Titan silicon rubbers
Homemade pinstadium lighting
Eyeball shooter rod
Powder coated hardware

Only other issues are someone cut a large hole (about 10 inches) in the bottom of the cabinet. It's a shame because the cabinet bottom is perfectly smooth. This game has never been near moisture. You can't see the hole unless you look under the game. Two small drill holes, one above each out lane where they must have lowered the bumpers, large chip in back of cabinet, minor wear around edge of large insert. Thus is the only one with issues. The rest of game is in great shape.

I have shipped many games through STI. I can wrap them, etc.

No trades, I'm getting out of the hobby [phone number removed]

Bump, didn't realize I didn't have the ship option selected. I have shipped many games safely through STI.

Put up some more pics. If this game is what you say you shouldn't have any issues with selling it.

I will tonight. My phone took a crap over three weeks ago and and am still waiting on Samsung to fix. I basically cancelled the repair and bought a new phone. I'll be receiving tomorrow. The current S4 I'm using has a garbage camera. I'll get detailed pics up by tomorrow at the latest. The game is really nice.

Looks like a great game! Scared Stiff is my next pin, just not ready to buy GLWTS

Would love to get in on this game. this one has a lot of issues to be in the 6s - are you accepting offers? It is unclear from the listing

I'm open to offers but "a lot" of issues only consists of the two small holes, the one under the cab you can't see and touching up the black behind the cab (which I may do this weekend). Most all games have some insert wear, the only area is around the center insert which is pretty common. These are all pretty minor at least compared to the games I have had. I just want to disclose everything.

Not sure I have seen many SS with all the extras including a color DMD in the 6 range? Maybe I haven't been looking hard enough. Looking at previous sales it is hard to get one sub 6's without even all the extra stuff unless it has crate wear, etc.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be the price police - just what I was thinking as far as what I’d go in for. Not sure I needed to post it. But a friend grabbed one 2 months ago for $6500 that is -perfect- there’s interest in this title though - good luck with it. Are you going to put it in storage if you’re getting out of the hobby entirely?

I have room for it in my mancave and people like playing it. I installed a putting green and could use the extra couple feet to make the green longer but can live with it as is. I'm an inpatient person but I just need to chill out a bit. It will sell. The thing is super clean with a lot of extras. I know when I was looking I couldn't find one with all the extras for this price. Especially a color DMD. I might even touchup the back and the two small holes so it limits the bads.

The putting green made me crack up. You can make it work! Good luck! Good thing you aren’t on the east coast, we would already have made a deal!

I've been looking at buying one of those adjustable putting greens. What's your take on the one you bought?

#19 1 year ago

Hi All, I think I have it sold via Craigslist. An individual is coming today around noon.

Quoted from PismoArcade:

I've been looking at buying one of those adjustable putting greens. What's your take on the one you bought?

To answer your question, I felt the best option for me was to buy a remnant piece of turf. There is a place that sells them near me in various colors and material. The particular piece I bought had foam backing. It was a 9x12 piece. I cut in in half down the middle and now I have a 4.5x24 foot green. I can roll it up for storage. I built a box on the end for the cup and a ramp so it is a smooth transition up to the hole. The seam in the middle doesn't effect ball roll at all. I have pieces of packaging foam I can throw under to make various undulations. I installed recessed lighting above the green which can be dimmed as this is in my bar/mancave and I didn't want bright lights killing the mood when people are over at night. See pic below.

A fun game we made up is called "Survivor". You can see small numbered coins spread out over the green. Coin #1 is closest to the hole and they sequentially increase as you get further from the hole. You start putting from coin #9, which is furthest from the hole. If you make the 24 foot putt you win, each other player has a chance to tie to keep the game going. However, if you miss, you drop to #8. You keep "free falling" or dropping until you make a putt. At that point you immediately move up to the next coin and putt again. For example, if you make putt #5 you move to #6 and putt again. If you miss you have one more putt after the other players have taken a shot from their respective hole before you start to free fall again. If you miss putt #1 you lose. The goal is to keep surviving by making at least #1 so you can move up to #2 for two more putts before falling to #1 again. It is interesting how you can be on hole #1 and your opponent on #7 and in a nominal amount of putts you might have advanced to #7 and your opponent fallen to #1. There are big swings. You can win by out surviving your opponent or advancing to #9 and making the putt. The only "winners" we have had were people shooting from #8 then advancing to #9 and making it or sinking the first putt of the game from #9. Once you fall past #7 it is hard to advance and win, instead you just survive....which is still a win if your opponent misses #1.

Very cool! I may do that instead of dropping $900 on the one I'm looking at.

Congrats on selling your SS. One of my favorite pins.
