If my wife wasn't so "nose-in-the-air" about re-imports, It would have been mine.

I saw it within minutes of him posting yesterday

Had issues with re-imports?

Nope. She just doesn't like the idea of a machine taking 2 cruises across the pond, I guess. I really don't know why she's dead-set against them. It's one she really want's though, so i'll let her decide which one is the right one.

Sorry to hijack you thread, OP. Congrats on the sale!

I played that Safe Cracker - someone got a really sweet game - congrats!

Still amazing the first time you see that token come sliding down the playfield!

still wondering how you would use the Magic Token, there is only 1 slot

unless maybe its a multi coin for the single slot

or you just collect the token and never play the mode

The tokens are just collectible, you can't use them for anything. There are 10 or 20 different designs to collect. I can't remember the exact number.

so overseas you don't get to experience the 2nd slot to play the Multiball

that sucks, well you get a free treat for your skills

Export games had one slot. The mech was an electronic one that allowed standard curreny (for whatever country it was headed towards) as well as the international size of token.

US games had two (or three?) slot doors, and the middle one (or right one) had a decal around it for magic tokens.

Putting a magic token in started 'Assault On The Vault' a time super-multiball.

The goal was also - since those tokens were expensive - to allow the locations to accept them for 'prizes' (Half off a drink, etc.) so that folks would turn them in. (Assuming that they spent more money on games to get a token than the 'prize' cost, obviously..)

But, they were collectible, too.

You use them to play Assault on the Vault by placing it in the magic token slot in the coin door. Kind of like a 90 second LITZ mode that has it's own set of high scores.

Getting the tokens during Token Multiball is a riot! You are trying to play multiball and tokens are dispensing from the backbox, rolling down the glass and nailing you in the crotch.

Well, I stand corrected.

When I bought my SC it came with about 150 tokens. In 2006 I took it to Expo and didn't want people walking away with the originals. I bought 250 30mm pachislo tokens and put those in the tubes. I think those are about the size of the international tokens. By adjusting the red screw on the magic coin mech, I was able to make it accept both domestic and international tokens as well as the pachislo tokens.

Here is an auction for the 30mm pachislo tokens. ebay.com link: 250 NEW Large 30mm Tokens For Pachislo Skill Stop Japanese Slot Machine Coins
