Item description
1968 Gottlieb "Royal Guard" for sale. This game is 100% complete mechanically, working and clean, and is a very fun to play title from this era.
The cabinet is original and is structurally sound, just has the normal scuffs and scrapes. Inside of the cabinet and backbox are both very clean with no rust.
The playfield is in nice shape, has been cleaned and waxed, re-rubbered recently. The inserts are all present and level. Playfield pop bumper caps are decent and all original. The plastics are nice and are original. There are wear spots located mostly near the lower middle of the playfield. The purple swinging target face has been replaced with an incorrect bullseye one, but correct one is available from Pinball Resource. The red swinging target face is chipped, but a repro is also available.
The backglass is original, shows areas of fading and some minor peeling/paint loss here and there.
The score/instruction card is missing, but repros are available.
All wedgehead games will come with a nice set of metal legs of correct length, as appropriate.
