Game - for sale

For sale: RollerCoaster Tycoon

Added: 2017-12-07 02:05:22 UTC • Ended: December 13th, 2017
Condition: HUO - Needs work

Price

$ 2,500

Its probably huo, but no proof. Game sat for very long time. cabinet and playfield are in excellent shape, Shooter lane has no wear at all. Doesnt look like it was ever shopped, and probably original rubber. Really doesn't look like it has a lot of plays.

batteries leaked and homeowner sent the board out for some not so good repairs. game will kinda boot, and start. But does not work correctly.

In my opinion this game needs a new board, they are $500 or so. and hard to find.

I would prefer local sales on this one.

I spoke with this seller about this game and he decided to "keep" the game and stopped messaging me (before then posting this) all because I asked him for pictures. Buyers be warned. highly suspicious.

@McSquid, I have personally seen this machine and it is exactly as described and in super nice condition (needs to be shopped). I almost bought it on the spot but bought a different game instead....take a ride and see it for yourself. That's much better than making something out of nothing with your speculation.

#4 6 years ago

That very well may be true, but I can only share my experience with the seller. Asking for pictures is hardly unreasonable, and rejecting a buyer for requesting pictures is suspicious. Some buyers may not want to do business with such a seller, regardless of the condition of the machine.

Hey Rob my offer is $$$1826...

Yes, if a buyer becomes unsure of a situation then that buyer has the right to be suspect.

For me, I've sold plenty of machines and can't always produce pictures immediately. Like many others, I work a full time job and have plenty of other things going on in my life during the week outside of my job. There should be no reason for you to warn others about this. It's not as if Pinside is full of scams like craigslist....

Touche. I'd like to think that pinside offers protection from scams but i'm sure it has happened at some point.

Luckily most of Pinside is fairly savvy. However, the scam attempts on here lately have been increasing drastically.

So I'm curious... I'm a newer user. So that I don't get bitten, what kind of scamming is common on this forum?

#11 6 years ago

This is not a scammer. PM him if you are serious and I’m sure he will send you pics.

No scam here the game was sold locally to another pinsider, and I dont think I would try to scam using a RCT with board damage.

If I were Scamming, It would be a HUO TZ in front of a white garage door, with a hint of broken english and a price of $3500.
