game is actually super fun and appears to be getting much better as code progresses.

I got to play one with current code this past weekend and it is much better than the last time I played it a few months ago.

The theme is awesome, but the game is not. Sucks, but that is the reality which is why you see so many of these pop up for sale and sit at $6,500.

Haha you are so off base. It's true that I am fed up with Stern, but I like JJP and Spooky so not sure where you gather that from other than my opinion on RZ not being a great shooter doesn't mean I dislike Spooky as a company.

Loving mine! Plays fast and brutal like Flash Gordon, but not as brutal with the add-a-ball targets. Possibly the best cabinet and back glass art ever. Funniest (adult mode) call outs ever. Cool horror theme. I would buy this if I didn't already own one. If I was rich I'd buy it just to have an extra one.

I think a lot of people don't realize this Spooky pin comes loaded with things that would cost $1000+ to add to a Stern such a color display, killer sound system (FF speakers, FF 10" woofer, amplifier), color-changing LEDs behind the back glass, beautiful hammertone-textured powder coated armor, etc. Not to mention a very substantial silk-screened back glass which you can't even get on a Stern. And when you factor in the rareness, it is very likely to hold its value. And I really like having at least one pin that not everyone else has, unlike Metallica and Ghostbusters.

I was thinking the same thing. Though pinside will fail to advertise to many potential buyers of this sort of machine (perhaps RZ/House of 1000 Corpses fans that learned about the machine too late or have no idea it exists, etc.). Mine just got shipped out today and the total with all the factory mods is ~$6700 shipped (OPs game has a $300 lockdown bar added). A local could get a great deal from my perspective (and certainly the perspective of those that paid $8k+ during the hype). Even shipping this game is fair on cost when many people are still on a waiting list hoping they can get chance to pay what the OP is asking (without the lockbar). Figure in the lack of a 1.5 year wait, and this seems like a steal :p

Two discounted for sale in certain locations is not really indicative of market for a pin IMO. I wouldn't get a pin shipped unexamined by myself firsthand & I suspect others are the same way. I was offered over $1K more then this a month ago before I unboxed mine and I am glad I did not sell it. I'm liking it much more then I thought I would. Either way is fine with me as I'm glad some will get an opportunity to get a fun pin at a good price point.

RZ is one of my favorite pins to play. It feels comfortable walking up to it and starting a game. It seems simple but can be a little frustrating when you don't often complete more than a couple of modes per game. Mine isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. GLWTS

In the market archive, over 30 listed most in the 7 and 8 thousand range except for 2 (3 including this one). The very adult theme and game is not for everyone, but still a fun pin in my opinion.

Dude, no one is shitting on the thread. Its ok to have a discussion about the game and price that is for sale. I am one man's opinion (or in this case, observation). All I said was it sucks but these have been sitting at 6500, and seems I am accurate. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean I am shitting on anything. For some reason people get so upset about RZ slipping in price. I happen to like the game, I'm just being observant.

I'll take your word about the market archive. Remember at one point these were going for 10k after the initial hype, sadly that is just not the case anymore. I hope the OP gets as much as he can, no reason to freak out over 1 person's comment. The market will ultimately decide, not you or I.
