Quoted from Doctor6:It's not rocket science.
Neither is logging on and buying one when they go on sale.

Quoted from Doctor6:It's not rocket science.

Quoted from Whysnow:Not really. eBay is a mess and can’t be trusted for things like this.
I sell a shit ton of high end collectibles on eBay. No issues. My stuff usually sells for high market value or above. No schill bidders needed.
And, I have only encountered a non-paying bidder once in 20 years.
Others mileage may vary, but there is little to complain about other than their Fee Schedule.
Quoted from cpr9999:What did these cost when they went on sale from Spooky?
$6500 or so prior to Options.
Quoted from Whysnow:eBay actually encourages shill bidding since they make more money.
Well, NOT Policing it enough and allowing it are 2 different things:
IF you report schill bidding, they will suspend / remove the offender(s) accounts.
BUT, they would have to be really lazy/ham fisted to get caught out
... and with eBay benefitting from the increased fees involved they ain't looking hard at these situations, unless they are forced to.
Quoted from Dr-pin:With such community members, how do people expect to make pinball more popular attracting new members?
There's a Community?
Why wasn't I told about this?!
Quoted from colonel_caverne:I don't understand the process of putting the game up for sale on ebay while looking for potential buyers on pinside (as much as possible because many have run away eBay) to ensure the biggest sale possible.
How long have you worked in Marketing?
Quoted from TigerLaw:I will speculate $12,720.
I'll go with $12,721, Bob.
(We're playing Price is Right Rules, correct?)
Quoted from chubtoad13:I have sold 1 pin on eBay and ended up paying about 10% of the final price to ebay/PayPal.
Unless there is a category exemption I expect to pay about 20% (in total fees) on my listings w/ shipping included.
That usually doesn't include Insurance on high value items.
Obviously, I don't sell Pinball Machines on eBay, though...
Quoted from Doctor6:Once they're all out and the honey moon period ends, it may make people realize it has an amazing theme and light show but still clunky with a toy on a spring and go, "oh.... shit."
Like all those people scrambling to sell me an Attack from Mars for under 5k!
Quoted from iceman44:750 is NOT limited.
If Definitions aren't your thing, then definitely.
Quoted from frankmac:Seems to be stuck at $10,200.00 lets go ballers..
This is the problem with the Sniper Services. Everyone's Final Bid is already in...without a new Bidder putting in a placeholder bid, we won't know where it will end up until it closes.
Quoted from o-din:All I can say is I am sorry I got mine before so many others that are waiting so patiently...
You slept in!
(wasn't that you?)
Quoted from Ericc123:Well there is one for sale on the Pinside marketplace for $10,600 so I'm not sure how much higher it can really go.
Generally, eBay sales are higher priced than most. I don't know if it is because of the knowledge of eBay's fees or their finance relationship with Paypal.
I sell LPs for 15-25% more on eBay than I do on sites like Discogs. Just the way it shakes out for some reason.
Could be the much larger and much less experienced /educated audience, too.
