Did I miss this stern announcement somewhere?

#6 4 years ago
Quoted from Tsskinne:

Did I miss this stern announcement somewhere?

It was sent to the distributors via email from Stern on the production of the Metallica Premiums and IMVE.

#7 4 years ago

Someone asked me about the red LED eyes in the snake for the Pinball Refinery editions.... Sure I can do that. I looked at that picture at the first post and its not the best, it's all stretched out.. So here's a one that isn't. Also here is the PR Metallica Pro that it was in, it turned out beautiful....

When will you receive the premiums from the factory?

#12 4 years ago

Can you do a custom snake head for me with the light up eyes? How much?

#13 4 years ago
Quoted from Demomstr:

When will you receive the premiums from the factory?

Sometime this month Stern said they will be shipping. Then I will have to convert them into Refinery editions then they will be shipped out to everyone.

Quoted from thedarkknight77:

Sure can, I will need the snake head from your machine and you will need to solder the connections into the machine.

Do you want just the LED eyes or the complete look, fangs, tongue decal, and LED eyes?

Is that a Refinery DM too?

#17 3 years ago

I'm confused... Do you have Premiums it LEs, of are they all gone?

#18 3 years ago
Quoted from bladerunner:

That's a Demo Man on Steroids.... It's a custom machine.

Here's the front of a machine that I'm working on.... Looking GREAT.

These machines are all sold but I can do more in December, either Pros or Premiums if anyone would want one...

Gotta love how Stern just crams the decal under the coinslots on the new doors, now that the old indentations are gone. You're better off printing a custom, more squarish decal and sticking it in the upper left area.

#25 3 years ago

Yeah... The older coin doors had the designated area for the door decals.

But the powder coating still looks Great.

#26 3 years ago

Wow...I have a MoPLE and think these premiums look better!

Great job!!!

#27 3 years ago

OT: Steve do you have any pics of your Refinery Walking Dead Premiums?

#28 3 years ago

Did you just say more in December?? Hmmm...

OT: Gio is doing TWD machines. He started a different thread on these.

#33 3 years ago

Thanks. ... The build continues, one is almost finished, waiting on the custom painted Sparky. This one has the new Creeping Death Speaker decal with magnetic mount to match the artwork inside. Of course ColorDMD and Pinball Pro Speakers as well as many other upgrades.

Hey Hemi got a question for ya, on your original Refinery Pros did you just put leds in the game or did you put anything in it to keep the leds from strobing like add on boards? Thanks

#36 3 years ago

Nice to see more progress. Looks great.

#37 3 years ago

Is that the gangsta hammer mod?

I just installed some really good LEDs in the PR machine. No added boards.

Lol... No, I needed to move the hammer to install the Newton ball and my drop the hammer mod...

Smart move really, that front screw always breaks the head off if you try and remove it.

Everyone says that...when I changed my hammer out I was nervous, and that front screw came right out with no problem

Not that you have any use for it now!

Never going back

Thanks, I saw the baggie of incandescent bulbs in the coin box and I always wondered why the leds looked so good. My Stern Avatar, T3 and NASCAR looked terrible with leds until I put the OCD board in so I wonder what Stern did differently with MET.

#46 3 years ago

I've snapped off the front screw once and that was the last time I've removed it, so I spin the hammer gangsta style now...

I know that Stern did some code changes when they releases the Metallica Pro LED versions.... So I think it's something code related.

Newton and trans rubber.

Yes it is.... I will post more pictures as I make progress . Also, plastic protectors are also installed.

But mine is a original Refinery Pro, #008. It was made years before the LED version.
