Item description

Holy Grail RECORD LABEL 1994 Guns N Roses Pinball Machine!!. This is the nicest Guns N Roses Machine in the world!! This machine belongs personally to one of the industry tour managers of numerous famous Rock N Roll bands. I am selling this for him...Due to Covid the entire music industry is out of work for a long time. He has medical bills now and is crushed to have to sell his prized possession. This is THE machine that was given by Slash to the record label in LA when these machines were made back in 1994. This is THE machine to have. Other than owning a machine personally owned by the band members this is the one to have. The owner of the machine wants me to add if it wasn't for this bad situation this machine would never be for sale. This is the machines history per the owner and the winner of the machine will be able to discuss the machine or ask any questions about the machine.

"I had been playing Slash's personal Machine in the Studio at Mates in Studio City CA and fell in love with it! Slash was working on my bands album at the time and was in the studio one day and we got to talk in length about him designing the machine and his love for pinball. He is simply an amazing and kind hearted person. I started looking for my own while living in LA. After months of looking I got a call from one of the managers to let me know that the record label was closing down the top floors of the building and the top floor was the corporate game room. Inside the room was this mint condition fully loaded Guns N Roses machine you see here that Slash personally had given them years before. I couldn't believe it so i called the office in Burbank to confirm and there indeed was a loaded game room and this machine. It even had this killer custom machine cover that I have never seen before. I made an offer on the machine and when the game room was liquidated I was on tour overseas and wasn't able to pick it up. Long story short when i got back to America i went and bought the machine and put it in my office with my tour plaques and personal tour stuff. While i was on tour in 2017-2018 overseas we did numerous shows with Guns N Roses and I was able to get the machine bridge signed by SLASH himself. Due to this machine being at the corporate office it is PERFECT and has hardly any plays. It has the massive stereo sub and speakers. It is the loudest pinball machine ever made and plays as good as it looks. The cabinet is perfect! NO chips or scratches of any kind. NO TOUCH UPS of any kind! It has Guns n roses key chain for cabinet and both keys. It has nice GNR topper. I have all manuals and books that came with the machine new. This is a like new machine that has been my prized possession. I have had it maintained and inspected by one of the best pinball techs in the country and its 100% ready with 0 issues or defects. IT NEEDS NOTHING! I had to have an appraisal and certification sheet for its value for my insurance company. I have a letter from the technician describing the condition of the machine and he says its the nicest machine he has ever seen! It is rated at a 9.7 out of a perfect 10! I can't express it enough this is simply the nicest GUNs N ROSES Machine on the planet."

I have attached numerous pictures and will be glad to answer any questions you have. I want this machine to go to a good home to a serious collector that will understand its rarity and condition. Again if it wasn't for the current condition of the touring industry and all of us out of work I would never sell this machine. Since this machine is very rare and very valuable i would rather have you pick the machine up in person. It is located at my vacation house in NC at the moment and can be seen in person by appointment if you are A SERIOUS BUYER. The buyer can have this machine shipped through a shipping company if they choose. I would recommend a reputable company like STI/NAVI. I have personally dealt with them many times and they are very good. Deal with Michelle Bianchi direct and she can take care of any questions you have and completely handle it for you. I will gladly work with you making pickup or shipping seamless. If you choose to ship i will take photos of the machine when it is picked up by shipping company as well as send winning bidder a video of the working machine before they pack it. I will also send final pictures after the machine is packed and freighted****This machine is posted on Ebay as well as other collector sites. I know the value of this machine so I have set a modest price. BID with 100% confidence on this machine.

$10,000 by Christmas! Ha...

Yeah, it's cool, and neat story, but, ugh, all that hyperbole. It definitely belongs on Ebay. Here's the proper link so we can watch it not sell.

*******I WILL SHIP THIS MACHINE********

I'm not impressed: Needs more asterisks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#5 2 days ago

Looks like a sample game too looking at the Add Band Member shot inserts.

#7 2 days ago

How is Pinside responsible for this? Such a crybaby... sheesh!
Oh wait, eBay doesn’t have a forum so it’s our fault

At least it’s signed by Slash, that’s pretty cool and GNR Fans are rabid anyway. Axl is still a total dick and Slash is better off solo.

#8 2 days ago

That’s not an original topper is it?

#9 2 days ago

Guess I don’t see Why this is in any way special? Slash signed (we assume with no proof) a lockdown bar within the last year. Maybe if it was dated 25 years ago it might mean something but last I checked Slash was walking around the JJP factory signing screw drivers and anything laying around so not that impressed he signed this misc part with No proof of this first time poster story. And Who puts Yellow credits decals on a coin door for personal use??

Even did personal signatures for JJP.

You should check out the cha-chinging the pinball industry is doing during covid by theming new games after washed up bands from the music industry.

And if so, prove it. Noone wants to see a picture of a protector over the Axl hole.

For the price you are asking, we want to see if Axl's hole is worn out or not.

G ramp cracked at entrance, has Cliffys, screw & nut missing from G gate assembly, clear plastic missing up by pops, proto inserts & 3rd version shooter that goes under R ramp. I'm sure with better pics there is more stuff going on.
15k ? Nope!

#17 2 days ago

Honesty, this is a very nice GNR with a signed apron and apron card from 2019. That’s it. $15k? That seems awfully high to me.

High from smoking something

Comedy gold.

So in reality a run of the mill GnR that someone had Slash sign a lockdown bar that may or may have not been from this machine.

Hell, without picture proof you don't even know if Slash signed the thing, the amount of fake celebrity signatures out there for sale is epic.

You make a few good points.

This is not one of the machines given to the band by DE, which had special plaques and have popped up over the years. There were 7-8 of them, I believe.

It is, however, an early playfield, before they changed the Add A Member/multi-ball inserts.

It does have the Rev3 shooter ramp, which is the best of the 3 revs, by far. It opens up the strategy in the game, beyond Add a Member/Super Pops all day.

It is in exceptionally nice shape, overall, for the age.

The coin door sticker is common, even on HUO DE machines from this era. My GnR was purchased in 97, and was a re-boxed demo unit which never left the showroom floor, and mine has the yellow sticker on coin door.

However, the post by the G ramp entranced has been replaced, and the Axl hole has a Cliffy. So it's not like it's an unplayed HUO. It's got signs of play, for sure, but very nice nevertheless.

I'd not value the machine anywhere near the asking price, but it is a very nice and valuable machine! I wish the seller well with the sale!

#21 2 days ago

That’s a tough sell at that price. I do feel sorry for all of those who work in the concert/touring industry. My son-in-law does and he’s had a hard time getting work during this shutdown, and things don’t look to be changing any time soon.

Is this the GNR CE?

Nah this is the GNR DE.

Yes but the custom cover AKA beach towel is the selling point.

#25 2 days ago

Sorry but this game is worth 5-7k tops. 15k is a ludicrous asking price, no one cares if a tour manager owned it.

Even if its virgin and cherry , still 10k too much.

15K and you can't be bothered to take the glass off for photos?

#28 2 days ago

Well, this is a hell of a consolation prize for someone who missed out on a JJP CE model.

I never understood autographed things... people care that someone famous took 5 seconds to write their name on something?

Ive seen $200 guitars that someone famous signed that people ask $25k for... its ridiculous but it happens so often someone must buy them.

Yep but thats Slashers Autograph, FACT!

I think the common practice is having a photo of the item being signed by the celebrity. That might be slashes signature but he could have just signed a random lockdown bar that was put on this game.

You’d need more proof then this guys story to make me a believe that this is a special game, and not just a nice copy.

I agree and I suspect that given the chance the seller would have all the proof required.

I collect them in person, sometimes you get a good experience. Often, you wait hours and have to learn patience and disappointment.

Pre-coronavirus, it got me going to more live music shows and added an extra element to my enjoyment.
