-Transformer board and tilt board were disassembled cleaned and painted
-New cabinet ground braid with new information cards stapled into cabinet and head
-All connectors running to the boards were recrimped
-Coin door was disassembled and all parts cleaned and polished
Every metal part was either regrained, rubber wheeled, tumbled or buffed. After I had my playfield restored by Sohchx in MD I decided to send it off to Mirco so he could use it and the plastics as donors for him to make playfields for others. I also gave my rails to Taylor so he could copy the set to make Reese Rails. The restore was started on Jan 21st 2018 and was only supposed to be a playfield restore by Sohchx in MD. While Devin had the playfield I decided to sand the cabinet down and turn it into a full restore.
While waiting for my playields and plastics to come back from Germany I tried painting the cab myself twice with spray paints and didn't like the results. I eventually sanded it all off and brought my pinball pimp stencils to the pinball palladium to have it shot in auto paints.
When I received the Mirco playfield I was concerned about the clearcoat after reading all summer long about the issues that were happening with Wonka and JP. I reached out to Mirco to ask him about it but he never returned or answered my emails. In the QSilver thread I documented my experience with Mirco who still has my originals. When I 1st populated the playfield the 2 spots with 1 inch rings between them started to ripple. I removed the rings and let the playfield cure and re flatten for a few more months and now she's fine. I have yet to roll a ball across the playfield so you can let it cure for as long as you like before playing.
Only interested in a sale since I can't fit any trades right now. The Christmas tree has already bumped her over to a windowless corner of the room.
