Crack is whack

#5 4 years ago

I know Quicksilver is popular but for that price this should be an HEP restoration.

#6 4 years ago

Hilarious! A project sold for mid 3’s two months ago dude on pinside

#7 4 years ago

Looks like he got in over his head on the restoration.

"Asking price? Text serious offers to 203-687-0834.
Will not respond to low ballers!"

That kind of attitude should be saved for Craigslist.
We are collectors here that try to help each other.
You should just put up a reasonable price to get the interest going and see what happens.

I’ll trade you a robocop, plus cash on your end! I hear it’s worth thousands and it doesn’t even need an overhaul!!

Are you sure you would do that. His post states it has amatuerish touchups that are locked in by clearcoat.

Another amateur flipper. We've got a lot of those in southern IN too. Have you thought about starting a podcast?

#12 4 years ago

*edit* never mind he’s just an asshole.
He’s got a ton of new parts and it looks like significant work was already done to it so I suppose what your email looking at is a “resto-in-a-box” but it’s gonna need tons of work still and probably a new playfield for that amount of work being put into it.
Price still seems high, but not sure what everything costs that’s being put into it

Whatever amount of $ the seller put into the game is their problem. If they overspend that doesn’t magically inflate the resale value to the buyer? Lol

This is a bullshit posting,

This OP is sent to deliver a game for someone, and is paid for his delivery. The guy that sent him to deliver it and is paying him, is trying to collect each early Stern, which are ALL set up for public use at a place this OP really enjoys frequenting.
When he gets to the drop zone, he noticed the guy had a Quicksilver. Instead of offering it to the guy that sent him there in the first place that really needs it, he swoops it for $1,000 and not only doesn’t offer it to the guy that sent him, but tries to get HIM to restore it for him so he can ask stupid money for it. Doesn’t even give him a chance at it for fair money.

Real shit move. I’ll park on your lawn any day of the week.

Won't even matter. The OP will be lucky to get above $3000 for this, just because if what @ shacklersrevenge said is true that means mongi is not someone you want around in your "pinball circle"
Just my .02

It’s 100% true. He screwed over one of the really good people in this hobby, someone who would give you a hard to find part for your game if you needed it and not charge you kind of person.

The op should do the right thing.

There is a difference between asking and selling price. It was listed for 5, it SOLD for 35 in less than 24 hours. The op was a flipper who snagged it off Facebook for $1500 2 days prior to the sale....

So they made 1200 Quick Silvers and people are paying big $$$ because of it's rarity?

They only made 600 Shrek's - does that mean Shrek will go crazy in price soon?

People are paying big money as it's a amazing game probably one of the best classic sterns if not one of the best games of the solid state 80s.
That and the rarity.

Lots of shitty rare games like shrek, has to be rare and a great game.

Called supply and demand, nothing new.

I've played QS plenty - not that great IMO I'd greatly prefer a Shrek, but to each their own.

There is a reason it's worth more then shrek so you must be the minority
But ya to each there own. If I sold all but 5 games of mine quicksilver would be one I keep.

Now I will say 10k is crazy

#33 4 years ago
Quoted from Pinwow:

No, that’s the exact same one. If you look up the forum post you’ll see the comments/offer that was accepted. But yes yes

I am confused. I looked at the sales ad and Brenna indicated it sold for $5,000.00

#34 4 years ago

Yeah, this guy. Agreed to sell me the machine for $3500 6-months ago pending photos. A day or so later says he's going to hold onto the game as "Did a lot of research on them and last few were selling over six to seven Grand."

#35 4 years ago

Y’all could’ve just took my word. Making me do all of this work. *Sigh* Here are the pics from the forum ad, right after the $3500 comment it was immediately ended.

How does that mean it sold for that? Doesnt even say he bought he just made a offer. Could have easily sold to someone else.

Waiting for the 90% off sale so it can go where it should have gone to begin with.

No. We are talking about 2 different pins. The one I reference is the bottom ad. The seller said it sold for $5,000.00.
