This is a 1947 Gottlieb Humpty Dumpty, the very first pinball machine with electromechanical flippers! This is DEFINITELY a project and I'm selling it as-is; I just don't have the time to put into it what it needs. I think this one can definitely be brought back from the dead, but it will require some work.

The good news is, the playfield is in very good shape, although the inserts have shrunk. The cabinet is also solid. Unfortunately, it was stored in a damp basement for several years, and while I've cleaned it up a bit, the legs are in pretty rough shape and may need to be replaced. Also, someone painted over the wood trim for some reason. The backglass is shot, but I think BGResto makes replacements. The coin door is not original -- it appears to have been taken from another Gottlieb pin of similar vintage because the paint doesn't match up.

The wood lockdown bar is missing and the sheet of playfield glass is not original; it's slightly too long, so a shorter piece of glass would be needed in order to install the correct lockdown bar. Other than that, it appears to be complete and the mechanical components look like they're in decent shape for their age. When you plug it in, it makes a humming noise, but that's it.

It's hard to pin down an exact value on this machine; it's arguably the most historically significant pinball machine in history given that it introduced flippers to the world, but this example is going to need some work. If you're interested, make me an offer!

Pick-up only, but it's an easy load-out and I'm happy to help.
