Game - for sale

Player's/Resto Candidate Addams Family $3500

Added: 2015-03-22 20:30:17 UTC • Ended: March 24th, 2015
Condition: Routed - fresh off route

Up for sale is an Addams Family the needs some love. The game boots and plays. Has topper. Thing moves in and out, game plays, some switches need adjusting, will need to be shopped. Boards look good but a GI connector should be replaced. Playfield is planked and has wear. DMD is wonky. Cabinet has a number of touchups in the black and there are smear type marks on the left side. Great candidate for a playfield swap, touchup work, or just a player's example. I would prefer not to ship, cash on pickup buyer will get a preference. Let me know if you have any questions.

The playfield pictures shrunk in the ad, so here are some that should be bigger:

Very good price!

#5 9 years ago

Yea play field is rough if it wasnt planked and have chips missing at all holes id consider it but needs new one which are 1000 plus all the work . Dmd just looks to have a line out whats wooky about it? Cabinet looks pretty solid and not real bad .

#6 9 years ago

This shouldn't last long. Looks like a good project.

It looks gassy or something lines get wavy sometimes, not really sure, haven't seen it like that before. I don't think the DMD is repairable.

Thanks! I gotta tell you, if there is one game I'd be happy to say someone bought over mine it would be AMH! Congrats on lining up such a great pin. Ben Heck and Spooky really did a great job.

Or...$3500 + maybe $50 - 200 in rubbers, lights, flipper parts, and whatever is wrong with the DMD and you have a working Addams Family machine you can play, for $1000-$1500 less than most other options these days.

That's still an option folks. Not every game needs to be restored.

Thats true also but id need it to match the condition of my other pins so it definitely needs redone

It's an extremely tempting sale. Unfortunately with all my money going to my TZ, I can't get it.

But if I would, I would get it, keep it as-is for a year or two, play the hell out of it (new rubbers, fix DMD..0 and THEN worry about replacing the playfield.

great deal

#35 9 years ago

This is a good deal for someone. I don't know why so many pinsiders insist on having as close to mint games in thier collection as possible. This playfield is more than playable and does not NEED to be replaced.

He said it was planked which depending how bad can cause ball misdirection which in case effects the game .

#37 9 years ago

Also alot of people have different standards thats just how it is

#38 9 years ago

I'm struggling with whether or not to restore mine. It's a nice player's pin. A couple of wear spots and cab scuffs but boy does it play. If the playfield doesn't affect ball travel should you even mess with it? Are cab scuffs worth a decal job?

It's pretty damn rare that planking causes ball misdirection. Even if it did, I know plenty of people that would be happy with an Addams with planking that causes the ball to barely move. I understand people have standards and that they vary, but what those people neglect to realize is that not everyone can afford to have those same standards.

It is a tough call ive had some games with planking and it effected the ball when moving slow and this t af has major planking so im sure it would effect the ball when moving slow .im sure many wouldn't care but I like all my pins playing perfect so I would did new playfield . Still a good deal for someone who want to do the tedious work of a swap I just dont have the capability at the moment or id be on my way to pick this up yesterday lol.

Im one of them I love doing projects as most my pins were to save money bc im not rich by any means.

FYI game is sold 4x over right now. I don't think the guy who lined it up last night is going to back out. If that does happen I will go in the order of when I received full price offers. Thanks!

Very true! I've only owned routed pins and I don't think ill ever own a HUO or NIB as its out of my price range. Plus I think its neat to own something that had commercial use. Gives it a little character. but that's just me.

Oh no! Don't be sorry! I was just saying that because I keep getting PMs from people making offers and telling me they want it. I just didn't want anyone to get their hopes up. Chat away!
