He'd have to answer that but I believe this was a different one. Either way, the market for that game has grown in a large way in the last 9 months.

$12k for an HUO LE seems pretty normal based on recent sale prices but this game has way more mods then any of them. GLWTS, what a beauty of a game, most loaded Pirates I've ever seen with a rare mint playfield. That shooter mod is pretty sick. I'm almost tempted to buy this game again.

I overprice everything I own? How is that accurate, let alone relevant to the discussion? I've sold every game I've ever listed here. The irony of that comment is laughable, but not relevant. That WCS literally sold two days later after a friend repaired the weld. I've never owned nor attempted to market a game as collector's quality. I still have our dialogue two if you'd like to unearth that. I even took the high road after you backed out, and reached out an olive branch to you not too long ago, and thought we were OK.

Trolling? No, because I actually have the text to back it up. The reason this particular JJP rang a bell, was because I don't get a chance to play one that often, and this had such an absurd number of mods on it, there's only one person in this vast city who it could have previously belonged to. You see, back when you and Jeff were working out a trade for Wonka, he ran the proposal by me because it was such a high dollar deal. I told him, and still maintain, that it was an unfavorable deal, but both of you like to constantly mix up your collections, and I get it. I told him, rightfully so, that you never keep games long term, so if he's hesitant on making the swap, I'm sure that at some point in the non distant future, one or both of you will get sick of your game and could acquire it back. So, if you want to go ahead with the deal, agree to a buyback.

I, as have MANY MANY MANY of our league members done buybacks or tradebacks over the years -- I literally just made such an agreement last week! There's no room for question. When the purchasers (or acquirer via trade) gets bored of his/her pickup, the person who sold/traded them the game gets first rights to reacquire the game at its originally agreed upon value. Whether the market soars, tanks or stays the same is irrelevant. If the previous owner says "yeh, I miss [title of game] and wouldn't mind having it back", you reverse the deal without hesitation. Done. It's just one aspect of what keeps the hobby fun and fresh in Pittsburgh. It's that sort of comradery that makes our league great and allows people home access to many games, even if they only have room for 1 or 2. If the seller modified/improved the game beyond the way you left it (not counting normal maintenance stuff), you agree to either purchase those mods or have the "seller" remove them or something reasonable.

So, when Jeff and I had chatted recently about how he missed Pirates and then I saw your ad, I was holy crap that was timely! Jeff's gonna get his Pirates back. Except he didn't. Because to you, buyback apparently means, give the original owner first opportunity at what YOU feel is the current market price! In this case, a massive 3-4K hike. And modded like that, it may be worth that much now (or at least close given your sale pending status). However, what will be will be. No sour grapes. You can either be a man of your word, with no argument of what a buyback means, or you can be a capitalist jagoff and take your profit from someone else. I surely hope that you're a better person than that, and will re-think this. He may decide to take the high road and just walk away pissed off. But I won't, because written word is written word, and I saw it with my own two eyes. It's as a good as a handshake or a contract. Obviously you and I aren't likely to ever make a deal because I don't own art piece games like Jeff and other high-end collectors do. That's fine. But I will do everything in my part to ensure none of the high end collectors I know give you so much as the time of day. In the current state of this country, there aren't nearly enough feel good stories. I hope that deep down somewhere you will make the right decision.
