New car, caviar, four star daydream.
Think I'll buy me a football team.

Nobody is holding a gun to anybody’s head and demanding they buy their pinball machine.
Its not like he’s ripping off little kids or old people with dementia.
I’m also pretty sure it’s adults buying these things.
If somebody wants to come along and spend 35k on a pinball machine, I don’t really think it matters all that much if they overpaid for something like this.
That sort of buyer isn’t eating ramen noodles or clipping coupons to get through a rough financial patch. There’s a lot of loose money in the world at the moment.
All that said, I have officially written off the possibility of owning one of these.
Not saying the price is right or wrong, it’s just out of the pricing structure I’m personally willing to pay for a single machine.
Quoted from Jenk540i:Hard for me to imagine there is someone who would spend 35k for any pin but it certainly will be an interesting thread to follow.
There’s pins worth a lot more than 35k out there.
Quoted from alexanr1:Oh please do tell..... (machines that had more than a single digit run of course). There is always the unicorn like Williams Pinball Circus)
Two that immediately come to mind:
Wizard Blocks (prototype for the unreleased pinball 2000 machine). This is worth quite a bit more than 35k

Bally The Pinball Circus.
Not only is this worth a lot more than 35k, it’s not even the same number of digits on the sales price should one ever come up for sale.

That’s just random off the top of my head as obvious answers where the value of those machines dwarfs 35k.
Edit: I never said anything about production numbers. Simply that machines exist that are well over 35k
This reminds me of arguments I had with my ex when I was younger.
Back then we normally settled it with alchahol and grudge sex.
Sometime it resulted in breakfast, other times cab fare.
Carry on.
I’m not so sure about lasting reprocussions.
Big Lebowskies shot up for a while and have since come back to reality.
There’s a lot more of these pins in the world than there are people willing to pay 35k a pop for them.
When the days comes where 35k is a standard price for a pin we have much bigger problems.
I’m not looking forward to $100 cheeseburgers or a $25 beer.
Inflation is coming.
