Usually. If this one was actually restored (cab fixed, new stencils, playfield either replaced or touched up and cleared, etc...) maybe it's worth 9? I dunno. The armor was at least powder coated.

#8 2 years ago

Sorry amigo. Pinbot is a great game, but it’s not there yet! Give it 5 years though and you’ll be right in the ballpark…

#9 2 years ago

Nice dog house.....I wouldn't let my dog sleep under my $9K pinbot. Might piss on it....anyway GLWS..Hope you get it

It says in the ad that plastics were replaced. If I redid an entire cabinet and playfield, I’d definitely be sure to list that. The powder, from what I can see through the red and blue lasers, looks nice. I can also see the huge dirt marks from the worn rubber posts.

Edit: I think the Vortex ramp is also heavily damaged at the top

Edit again: OP has maintained a 0 percent ratio of upvotes. 0 up, 36+ down. Impressive

#11 2 years ago

Cool pics OP. 9k firm....can't even make out what the game actually looks like... I'm sure this will go swimmingly.

#12 2 years ago

Troll/joke post for sure

#13 2 years ago

—“but pinbots sell for $9000 on pinside!”

Sincerely: unknowing eBay/cl seller.

This site needs to address this. Only contributes to wack pricing.

#14 2 years ago

Fuckin Okies?!?!?!?!?!

#16 2 years ago

CaptainNeo this has to be one of your favorite LED jobs? You need to start handing out awards.

#17 2 years ago

I get that people want top dollar, but if thats the case maybe u can actually include pictures where one can see the condition of the game. Pics in a dark basement isn't gonna get it done.

#22 2 years ago

Jeez...it's THAT fuckin' guy?

I guess that Tron loan never came through so he has to raise the funds some other way.

For $9k it better have a brand new playfield.

Quoted from Ryguy80:

And cabinet. And displays. And aftermarket speakers. And Invisiglass. And translite. And fully rebuilt mechs on polished brackets. And new lamp sockets. And aftermarket boards without batteries.

LED's are horrendous on this example. If you want premium money, you had better have some premium pictures. I can't tell anything on that playfield, ramps or shooter lane! Turn the machine off(trust me on this one) , pull the glass and get some serious pictures of that playfield and cabinet

And the original parts that these new parts replaced, lovingly restored and assembled into their original working condition.

My issue with ads like this is that NON pinball people see it, then think what they're selling is worth this amount. Its totally skews things.

Then again, no person in their right mind would pay 9k for a pinbot, collector, moron, or not.

ROBIN: maybe some sorta flagging system where when games are posted way outside the average, the ad is altered some how? Like make the add red or have a banner or something. "wack pricing alert" across the pics? IDK..

#32 2 years ago

Pinbot fuckin stranded and BROKE!!!!

#33 2 years ago

ask what you want, but saying it has a a "topper" as if its an 2k stern topper "ad on" to potentially increase value won't work. The game came stock with a topper, its supposed to be present.
and this is for anyone- Also led's even if they look great do not add excessive value to a machine. Maybe 100 to 125 bucks at best if they are done nicely. you still have to deduct cost of the bulbs that are supposed to be there in the first place if you want to get technical. add a color display? make sure to deduct cost of the display that's supposed to be present initially. it has used value.

I have an huo gold wings in mint condition, I’m not selling for more than 3000$

I understand the desire for something like that, but I don’t think it’s doable. Prices are continually changing, so any standard could be considered dated as applied or considered arbitrary, etc. The current default system of the price police causing flaming listings seems to work, at least for sellers who make their ad a thread.

My issue is wimp OP's put ads like this up and never come back to the forum because they are little babies.

There might be someone that actually pays $9k for this too.

It’s as bad as the guy advertising a Card Whiz for $6000 a couple of days ago.

Man, I dunno. Never thought I'd see Back to the Future sell for $14K, but here we are...

And like it or not, that Banning auction ABSOLUTELY contributed to prices going vertical the last year.

I’m guessing the price is insanely overpriced because the OP took out a high interest loan on the machine. I wonder what he’d be selling that Tron for if he got it with the loan?
