    For sale: Pinbot

    Added: 2022-02-17 18:58:20 UTC • Ended: March 1st, 2022
    Condition: Partially shopped/refurbished

    Price

    $ 3,000 (Firm)

    Price is firm

    Item description

I'm selling my Pinbot that I've had for the last 22 years. It's in very good condition, and I've got quite a few spare parts (extra Jackbot ramp, extra ramp decal for the original ramp, coils, fuses, an extra backglass, to name a few). The only catch is that the machine is currently crated from a move, and I don't want to set it up just to take pictures and demo it to a potential buyer. So there's an element of trust here. As such, I'd prefer to make this a local pick-up only sale so that I can help set it up at the buyer's location and they can ask questions etc. I'm not really excited about selling this game since it's got a lot of memories for me, but I've got another move coming up to a smaller home and I don't think I'll have room for it. As such I'm very firm on the price, so no haggling. At all. I dug up a few photos of the machine as it was set up at the place we lived before the move. Sorry I can't provide more photos.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha………. Nope, that’s enough to buy a house, there is no way….

    #4 4 months ago

Looks like you CAN put a price on memories.

    #5 4 months ago

Price seems reasonable in this market.

Your talking about the housing market right Levi?

    #7 4 months ago

I wish I was a bit closer otherwise I would take it!!!

But hey the game comes free with the house maybe?

    #8 4 months ago

    So....

    2500 for the Pinbot...

    297,500 for the Pinpod.

Maybe ill spend my life savings on this game. Who know maybe i could make profit.

    #11 4 months ago

All you have to do is look at all the photos to know what you're getting!

Seriously though, I think (hope) this was just an error with the price.

    Pricey

    #14 4 months ago

The price is for the house, right? The Pin*Bot is just a selling point?

    #15 4 months ago

    1 million by Christmas

    #16 4 months ago

I'd pay $299,900... But $300,000 is just plain ridiculous!

    #17 4 months ago

That "NIB" $20k High Speed looks like a discount.

Yeah it probably 3K honestly it would be worth looking at that for the price it’s got a nice cabinet.

    #20 4 months ago

I can understand why he would mark the price as "firm". Don't want to be bothered with all those guys trying to talk him down to $290,000.

    #21 4 months ago

    It's a 3K pinbot, forgot the . between the 0s

    #22 4 months ago

Add another zero to your price, and if it sells you can buy a two bedroom condo in Summit County.

    #23 4 months ago

Man if i were closer would love to have snagged a great deal, i heard it includes the house and workout/tool equipment in the background.

    #24 4 months ago

There’s an element of trust and an element of insanity. It’s like Let’s Make a Deal. Gotta be typo.

    #26 4 months ago

Awwww, I'm bummed - I thought that was an amazing piece of satire - but it's a real for sale ad....

    #27 4 months ago

Gone from bat shit crazy to a great deal

    #28 4 months ago

Ok, now that it's not $300K any more, can we just move this toward standard for sale thread bitching?

Three shitty pictures of the cabinet? Game is in a crate?!?! PRICE IS FUCKIN' FIRM?!

Come on dude, take the game out of the crate (you are going to have to anyway, right?) take some normal pics, and remove the "FIRM!" and the nonsense about all the fond memories and the element of trust let's get this party started.

It's so easy to just make a normal for sale thread these days, but nobody wants to do it.

Here's a primer of what it should have:

    Price
Short description of condition and any known issues
Pictures of the game - from somewhere near the game not across the room. Pics of the playfield, cabinet, and backglass.

Here's what it doesn't need to have:
Shitty pictures that don't show anything
Explanation as to why you are selling it
The word "trust" in any way or form
The revelation that the game will remain in a crate until you buy it

It doesn't seem like rocket science, yet here we are.

Kinda artsy. Digging the 30 foot back picture of the pin in a desolate room

Maybe this is the next evolutionary step of the loot crate craze?

    3k for a system 11 masterpiece isn't a lot. At all.

    And the cab looks pristine.

OP: I wouldn't sell it. I sold my old bot, then had to locate another. It's such an iconic pin..

    I implore you... don't sell.

If he was in driving distance I would have already jumped. Good thing I got some entertainment out of this thread.
