Item description

This is a custom EM "Pinball Pool" Pinball Machine. Total production was 1 unit. The machine's overall condition is very, very good. A new rubber kit (installed), ball, coin door, NOS lockdown bar, new playfield glass, custom wiring diagram, custom BGResto backglass are included. All plastics are good with no chips or cracks. The playfield is in good condition. All playfield wiring was removed and replaced with cloth wiring (faithful to EM construction). The machine is ready to plug in and play, all circuits are 100% operational. Also, the rule set is faithful to the SS "Pinball Pool" version. However, I did not include the end of game match. All construction paperwork and pictures will be included.

One coin acceptor (25 cents) is installed and operational. The original metal back door is installed. The cabinet exterior paint job is new. I have played many games on this machine to ensure 100% operation of every light, every switch, every score reel, every roll over.

Back story: I found the "Pinball Pool" playfield at the Kalamazoo pinball show several years ago. It was dirty and missing many parts. It was bound for the trash heap. Since i'm an "EM only" guy, I decided to strip the playfield down to zero and build an EM from it.

A 455 bulb was installed in the robot's antenna, set to blink (attract mode) when the game is over.

The machine is located in Western Michigan (Muskegon County), and is available for personal inspection and game play. Machine drop off and set up is available in the Midwest (for a fee). Let me know your location and we can discuss details.

About me: I'm a an A&P licensed Aircraft Avionics Mechanic with an extensive military and commercial aviation maintenance background. I utilize this experience and knowledge in the repair and maintenance of every machine I work on.

Thanks for looking !!

Very very nice and some great engineering on display here!

#5 3 years ago

Great job. I had to look up Pinball Pool as your pin looks like it came off the production line as an em.

#6 3 years ago

Amazing...

#7 3 years ago

um, wow! As someone who really enjoys my normal SS Pinball Pool, this is incredible.

YOU DA MAN!

#9 3 years ago

I can't even fathom how you did it

Seriously..I stand up and
So awesome.
I do hope you post at least a 5 minute video with game play.

Agree with Griz - would you mind uploading and linking a play video?

#12 3 years ago

Belongs in a museum -- maybe NicoVolta would be interested! Did you scavenge cloth wire from a donor EM or is there a source for it?

#13 3 years ago

Amazing! A lot of people have gone the other way converting an EM to SS. I like this so much better.

#14 3 years ago

Wow that’s amazing

#15 3 years ago

Wow! I’m impressed.

I've seen and played this game and it is truly a work of technical art. Chris's ability to translate all of the SS functionality into EM is nothing short of amazing.

That schematic! Incredible.

I don't know how you're able to sell this after the amount of time & effort you put into it, but great job and the new owner is going to be very happy!

This looks like a game for John Dayhuff

#20 3 years ago

How the hell do you take a digital pin and make it an EM?
This sounds insanely difficult?? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed with the others: AMAZING. Before this sells, you MUST tell us HOW exactly you did this!!! Please!

I can tell you, first you need to have a career history as a A&P licensed Aircraft Avionics Mechanic with an extensive military and commercial aviation maintenance background. Then spend your hobby life repairing and restoring EM machines. 10k hours or so?

Totally agree.. amazing project, and so well polished. Even the wiring looks original.

Trying to dream about a project like this, I'd imagine one of the Sys1 EM transition units would be a good starting point. They all have score motor setups for 500, 3k, 5k etc. Lots of relay work and engineering thinking about the rules. Clearly, going from 4p to 1p is necessary to avoid memory complexity.

I dream of the day when I could hope to tackle something like this.

#23 3 years ago

Absolutely stunning.

I'd be shocked if this doesn't sell quickly.

Is my memory failing me or was this originally listed for $1500?
