A really good Paragon, I restored stenciled and clear coated the cabinet. New legs, side rails and other new parts. Perfect inside and out. NOS clear coated playfield, many new parts. This game is an absolutely beautiful restore and is very nice but it’s one downside is the back glass (it’s not great ) . Drop a new (or nos) back glass in this game and you will have one one of the nicest Paragons out there.

Beautiful, op. Truly beautiful.

Stupid question: what's all the speckles in the yellow?

#8 2 years ago

Paragon had speckles on the original cabinet. I recreated the original look by spraying a silver through a hvlp gun at very low pressure.

Came out really nice.

Man, I had a NOS backglass for this and a few other classic Bally games. Had them all stored on a rack special built with groves so each one could slide out without touching each other. But my building had a flat roof. Wouldn't you know it during a heavy rain I had a roof leak right over the glasses. All had water damage!!!

Cabinet and PF look great! I have an original HUO beauty with a near perfect original backglass. I bought the CPR repro backglass and was really disappointed in how it looked lit up (looked great without lights behind it)...ended up selling it soon after.

One question on the NOS PF...who did the "restoration" on it? I had an NOS PF that was restored by Kruzman. With 40 year old PF, the inserts usually need major work (due to cupping, glue issues, etc).

In any event, this is a beautiful game and fairly priced. GLWTS.

Yeah I was looking to get a NOS ( or nice original) back glass for this game. I was not very impressed with the repros either but I am glad that buying a reproduction is an option because I have seen back glasses that are far worse than the one I have in this game.
I did all the restoration work on this game. As for the NOS playfield, yes it had cupped inserts that I took care of. I also repainted the large white areas under the plastics to brighten the game up. I also repainted all the black rings around the inserts.
I have got a friend stopping by this afternoon to check this game out.

Such a fun game and such a beautiful example! I'd be all over this if it was in my neighborhood. GLWS!

The cabinet was painted using Pinball Pimp stencils.

The MPU in this game is Alltek, the rest are original Bally boards.

#18 2 years ago

New lamp sockets throughout. I also replaced the common wire with a wire that has a casing.

The lockdown bar was cleaned and polished inside and out. New beer seal and the outside was re-grained.

Don't do this to me, I want it so bad it hurts LOL! I grew up with this pinball machine in our house as a kid, it was our only machine. We played it a lot, I rolled the score 3 times in one game once. A lot of nostalgia here for me.

#22 2 years ago

I've played this game personally. Nicest playing paragon ever!

#23 2 years ago

trilogybeer does amazing, very thorough, restoration work. I have a prior Paragon that he restored and it is easily one of the nicest games in my collection. The silver speckling on the cab looks incredible in person. I also have one of the two Zac Robots he recently restored and it is equally as nice; it honestly far exceeded my expectations once I got it back. It was hard to believe it was the same game. Anyone that sees this game in person will see that a lot of labor and parts went into this, the pics don't do it justice and looks even nicer in person. The backglass is really the only downside but that can be changed out pretty easily once you find a replacement. Buy with confidence, trilogybeer is the goods!

I will say something stupid: if it wasnt for the 70s T and A on the game I would buy this. Would be hard to explain to the wife and children how their husband/father isn't a pervert. Such a beautiful job you've done, op.

Not hard to explain. Just say YES

Thanks for the kind words everyone. If anyone is interested in a combo deal I can throw in my Fun Park. $5,000 for both games.

I just ordered a CPR back glass for this game. Price stays the same, buyer gets original back glass and the new CPR.

Wow! Nice work on the speckles. This is THE Paragon to buy.
Gorgeous.

I would have considered that trade for sure at some point, but at this time I need to downsize and am more interested in just selling. I also need to finish the multiple other projects I currently have before taking on more. Thank you!

What he said. Absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could put the two I have together to make something as nice as this one. Paragon is a wonderful game!
