We're back!

After a disaster in our datacenter took down our server, we are now running Pinside on a brand new server. However, things may not work as expected as we are still polishing the playfield and adjusting some switches! We might be switching to maintenance mode a few times. Please see this forum topic for more info.

Item description

This is an extremely nice and very clean example.
Still have the original boards but allteks are installed.
Worst playfield wear around the 40 shown in pic below, overall the playfield is excellent but there is some insert cupping.
Worst cab scuff also shown below smaller than a pinky nail, no fade.
Backglass has a very small wear spot covered in tape that I am to scared to remove.
No operational issues, not even a single bulb out.
Will ship if you make the arrangements.

That seriously looks beautiful, but what’s up with the the sometimes blue, sometimes red flipper rubbers?

#3 10 months ago

Lol only had blue rubber at first then ordered reds.
The original rubber was still installed when I got it so that had to go immediately.

#4 10 months ago

In fact if you look close enough the original post caps are still installed.

#5 10 months ago

Gorgeous example! GLWS!!

#6 10 months ago

The wear isn’t too bad, I hope you get that kinda cash for it. Could make touched up/clearcoated examples worth even more!

#7 10 months ago

Clearcoat sucks!
Original with wax all the way.

#8 10 months ago

Clean.

#9 10 months ago

Natural beauty...looks a lot like mine (which I believe is HUO). Do you know this games history?

Great, classic 80's game. GLWTS.

#10 10 months ago

Don't know too much about it to be honest but I do believe it was an auction find shortly before I got it.

I agree with you.
I had a Fathom and did a swap for a new clearcoated playfield. Turns out, I did not like how it played compared to the original, even if the original had some wear to it.

#12 10 months ago

You're going to miss it when it's gone! I'm on my third Paragon and this one's staying for good!

#13 10 months ago

One of my lifer pins!
Congrats to whoever buys this

#14 10 months ago

Great price!

#15 10 months ago

Is that a hey you're too low thumbs down?
If so i like it.

#16 10 months ago

I sold a Paragon for 1300 and felt it was too high of a price. It was nice, a little insert raising but no real wear.
I should have kept my mouth shut but there was too much positivity on this thread and its a very high price.

#17 10 months ago

Honestly wasn't sure where to price this.
That's why I started a price check thread for it.
From the feedback I got from there, PMs and another HUO price check thread, I took the average opinion and took off $200.

#18 10 months ago

If this is Canadian $ I think you’re spot on.. If U.S., it’s gonna be tough sell at your price. Check sale archives. Nice looking machine though.

#19 10 months ago

I checked the sale archives, nothing this nice has sold so hard to say.
A couple decided to keep in this price range though which I understand because I surely wouldn't let it go for $3700 CAD.

#20 10 months ago

The US/Canada border is closed for nonessential travel until June 21, at which point the closure could be extended.

#21 10 months ago

Shipments across the border are ok however.

I paid 2k for my HUO Paragon back in 2012. At the time, 2k was consider high for this title.

Considering Pinflation and the Alltek boards, I would expect this example to go for ~3k. They built over 9,000, which keeps the price lower than other 80's classics.

#23 10 months ago

Still condition is king!!
This is a super nice original with the new boards. If I had room , I would be tempted to make an offer.

#24 10 months ago

I am open to offers of course, price is not set in stone.
I also promise to package the hell out of it if I have to ship.

#25 10 months ago

Price drop for the weekend.

#26 10 months ago

Final drop before she comes off the market.

#27 10 months ago

Dammit, I really was hoping you’d get in the 3’s for this example.

#28 10 months ago

Man, I wish I had the space for this right now! Such a beautiful game.

#29 10 months ago

I would totally trade ya for TNA or your precious JD.

Does anyone have an estimate of how much it would cost to ship this to southeastern U.S.? Any idea about cross-border taxes?

There are no taxes on a private sale.
Call or email STI and get a quote on shipping, but my guess would be $500-$600.

EDIT: Just noticed this is in Canada.
Still don’t think there are any kind of import taxes on a vintage game coming from Canada, especially considering it’s returning to country of manufacturer.
Shipping cost I’m not sure.

#35 9 months ago

I just shipped a Xenon to Baton Rouge a couple weeks ago.
I'll ask the buyer what's up.
The shipper he chose has a depot in Calgary so it was an easy drop off for me and probably saved him quite a bit.

Thanks for looking into that for me. Looking forward to the result.

“ Total for me ended up being just under 500 but I found a broker who is related to a friend of mine so he gave me a break on cost. Without friend it probably would have cost me over 700. Tell the guy to call abf or whatever freight company he is using, will get better quote than using online page.”

Curious as to what the final drop is before it comes off the market. Is $3,000 the final drop?

#39 9 months ago

Yep 3k is final if I have to ship, I would go slightly lower for something local though.

#40 9 months ago

Game is now pending thanks for the interest.
