For sale: Orbitor 1 (Stern, 1982) can deliver to Allentown

Added: February 6th, 2016 Re-listed: 2 times Ended: June 29th, 2016
Condition: Fully restored (full original status)

Item description

Can deliver prepaid to Allentown Show.

Really nice fully working rare Stern Orbitor 1.

All factory Stern boards and displays, working speech, new rings and balls.

Playfield surface is in great shape, perfect backglass and bubble, really nice cabinet and legs.

Spinners work perfect as do all the switches and fluorescent light.

Outhole only has a couple cracks, one sling is broken (repaired), top right corner has broken corner, and Orbitor plastic is cracked.

All lights work, drop target light tubes are custom made replacements as originals were not present.

Email me with questions and for pics. Will ship NAVL at buyer's expense.

Would consider trade for a Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Monopoly or Indiana Jones or Star Wars Episode 1 or kubota garden tractor with a loader and/or backhoe or ATV Quad 4x4

That's one you certainly don't see up for sale every day.

More of a novelty pin, very rare indeed.

There was one at Expo in Chicago for $800. It played well but I don't know if I'd give much for it. Like you said, a novelty pin.

hi,

what does "Orbitor plastic is cracked" mean ?

thx

#7 3 years ago

Is the playfield on this one sloped? Is that what makes the ball spin so much, beside the spinning post?

That must have sold instantly then.

Ya it's kinda like one and done kinda thing. You have to try it at least once.

I have one. I play it once in a while. It's always a hit with visitors. I have a large collection so it fits in OK.

I don't think so. I went on Saturday and it was for sale all day. It's neat to play once or twice.

I tried to get one through the Pinball Life Expo too and it was sold before my friend walked in the door.

$800 I think you could buy them at will.

so what does the 82 model have different than the 81 model? i'd like to know the changes. I might upgrade to an 82.

Perhaps someone flipped it for a profit before listing it for 2500?

Nope, that didnt happen. I was there when the person that brought it in set it up (I help work the freeplay area of Expo) Plus it was listed on pinside before expo by the person that brought it.

here is the ad for the one that was at Expo

The pricing is about right I would assume for this. These don't come up hardly ever.
Played one once, it's a hoot when the ball goes under the flippers and comes back

Bump for a good guy, did a couple deals with him several years ago.

GL!

Sorry I thought for sure I seen one for that price.

I guess maybe I was thinking what I would pay for one.

I think if there were 5 or so Orbitors to pop up for sale for $800, all 5 would sell pretty quickly on here.
