I agree with this. I have both in my collection. I move toward low play original games with as much originality as possible when I buy. I truly believe in the original play field no matter whether the game is restored or not. The original board set matters to me also. The really nice low play examples are getting harder and harder to find especially at reasonable prices.

I think this is correct. If the game is a total POS it requires more HEP magic.... more time fixing,plating, and etc.

I’ve never had any communication with Chris but I would rather have a game he rebuilt no matter the amount of plays. He is building/rebuilding better than factory.

There’s definitely a sweet spot if you are specifically looking for a candidate.
Most of the time people aren’t .
They already own,buy or come across a game and decide to have it done for one reason or another.
In the case of this particular TAF Brady’s got burned on a equipment trade if I recall correctly.
The game wasn’t in a sale able or reconditionable form for them so Jon decided to “adopt it” and turn it into something worth owning.
I had been a customer of theirs for years and it felt great to be on the other side for a change.
In my warehouse I had a nice solid TAFG lower that I donated to the cause to try and minimize the blow they were taking. Other than that there were no concessions or cut corners.
Jon was thrilled with the game once completed.
Beyond that though he was blown away by the process and just enjoyed watching it unfold.
Having been in coin op his whole life it was still something that was unknown to him.
After that they would send a game here every so often when they had the right customer and there would be enough margin in there for it to makes sense for them to go that route(rare trust me I know!)eventually they were bought out I believe.

It’s a beautiful looking Addams.. got to be worth more than $12K... surely..

The experience of watching your game be restored is a lot of fun. Worth the money without question.
