NOS Prototype Star Trek TNG playfield

NOS, very nice condition. I purchased to do a swap and ended up getting a HUO TNG instead.

Playfield is the prototype, has some insert differences from the production one. See photos of the ones I saw that were obvious. There may be other differences.

Playfield is punched, tnutted and mylar patches applied, but not dimpled. From LS.

Prefer pick up in Louisville, KY or I can bring to Chicago Pinball Expo if that works for you. I can ship if you *really really* want me to but pickup/hand delivery is easier.

Make me a fair offer or trade for other playfields.

nice playfeild. If it wasn't for the oversized Neutral Zone hole I'd take it.

#3 8 years ago

I would too if not for that. What was the plan for that larger hole on the prototype games?

Someone should run Ritchie down and find out...that's a huge difference.

#6 8 years ago

I agree, looks like a full but was there another plan which required the big opening?

Steve explained it before. Google will show you the way.

I cant locate this

That makes sense. Without the wedge target or a metal scoop there, the ball would just bounce right back past that hole more times than not..

#11 8 years ago

Until I developed the wedge-shaped targets, the hole in the
wood had to be larger to "catch" the balls and drop them down below
the playfield. The wedge-shaped targets drove the ball downward
naturally, so I shrunk the hole size.
