Game - for sale

For sale: NIB Wizard of Oz ECLE (Jersey Jack Pinball, 2013)

Added: 2016-11-16 23:10:28 UTC • Ended: December 23rd, 2016
Condition: NIB - New in box (distributor/business)

Price

$ 9,700 (OBO)

Open for offers

For sale is my final-run WOZ Emerald City Limited Edition, new in box. Serial #969/1000, shipped June 2014. Has all the factory fixes, including the light boards. Gorgeous metallic green trim, signed wooden apron, direct print cabinet, etc.

After waiting 3 years to get it, it was finally shipped after we moved from KC to Pittsburgh. Our basement is a fraction of that of the old house, and while figuring out how to optimize a smaller space, I had a chance to play WoZ with the family. It's an awesome, awesome game, but in a family vote, it and several other games are up for sale. This mint game is probably far better off in a collector's hands than my competitive player's hands anyways.

Really seeking a cash deal, but would be open to the right machine(s) + cash deal in my wishlist.

Easy loading, with flat, no stairs access! Come and hang out and play some pinball while you're here.

Thanks for your interest.

If only you didn't have gb already and if only it wasn't 10k it would be mine! Glws bud.

Did direct print cabinets run through June 2014? My understanding is that they switched to decals either late 2013 or early 2014.

If this particular machine has the direct print cabinet and the newer electronics, it's a gem. The direct print cabinet is amazing!

The wood apron is pretty special, too.

All of the ECLEs are direct print.

#5 7 years ago

Yes every ECLE is direct print. It was the standards that switched. Plus every 75th is decals.

I'm confused...OP, you say you played the WOZ as a family and it is mint. But this ad is listed as a NIB (never played, new in box). Can you clear that up?

#7 7 years ago

Sorry about the confusion. We played it on location. Although...one of my kids would probably get more enjoyment out of a giant cardboard box than pinball LOL.

My WOZ is sealed in all its original glory. You're welcome to come look at it!

Thank you for your comment and those who quietly upvoted it. Shrug. The PMs would suggest otherwise. Also, it was listed OBO (as well as trades considered), not firm, so I'm not sure where the price police need came from. Kind of hard to gauge a price when there aren't any others out there, and the closest thing I had to base it off of were the NIB Ruby Reds.

How dare you charge a price for a pin. How dare you indeed. Let's be honest here. Lordloss dogs on all types of for sale ads on pinside.

I am pretty sure that some at the end of the run were not direct print. I followed this real close because I was in it from day one for $6500 and was very concerned that the doors would close before I ever got my game.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

#20 7 years ago

No offense meant but you are incorrect. Every ECLE was a direct print cabinet, as were the first few hundred standards. 75th anniversary games were decals from day one.

I think you wrong on this. I remember LE'S in the early part of run when cabinet maker was mia and his printer was down. This was around time Jack said they would be switching to decals. Pushback for customers was strong because direct print was promised on LEs. I think some were made and shipped before people starting designating only direct print cabinets only. While I don't know of anyone that had one, I imagined some went to distributors and onto customers. All it would take to confirm is someone chiming in. Anybody see or buy a decalled WOZLE?

The 2014 and up runs were decaled, LE's included. I sold my 2013 ECLE#20 with a direct printed and cc'd cab. it was beyond amazing.

AFAIK Jack was transitioning to decals about a year after the first runs of ECLE's came out. there was a lot of backlash with some 'nicking' their cabs and doing crazy damage to cc and printing. It was beautiful but fragile too.

ECLEs made in 2014 were not decaled. Mine was made in August 2014 and is direct print. Part of the delay for pre-paid customers was likely due to the lack of funds to pay the cabinet and direct print people. The standards were shipping with decals and the LEs were delayed.

#25 7 years ago

Sigh. I guess it's all good. I'm not bothered by the discussion but every ECLE was a direct print cabinet. Even at the end of the 1000 LEs when the production line was running pretty much all 75th playfields with the occasional standard thrown in (all decaled cabinets at that point BTW), there were a few lingering LE numbers that hadn't been made yet (company folks, one or two where people hadn't been able to be reached in a timely manner, a couple of switch outs to 75ths, etc.) and for those last LEs there were direct print cabinets purposely set aside and covered just so they could be used for LEs as needed. There just weren't any LEs that ended up in decaled cabinets.

#26 7 years ago

I'm certain it's a direct print cabinet having seen the one in my same shipment 2 serial numbers off.

Anyways, moot point, as game is sold pending payment clearing.

How much? As a courtesy, please reveal. You yourself said, in an earlier post, that it was difficult to determine tge listing price because market information was minimal or limited (in different words you implied that I mean). For future market Listers...what did your pin sell for?

Ty!
