And people were just saying all these crate deals out of Europe were gone. Good luck with the sale.

#3 8 years ago

I didn't know they made a game called "No Good Golfers". I'll have to check that one out sometime.

#4 8 years ago

Thirty pinball machines in a container minimum? I'm in.

#5 8 years ago

Other minor detail: smoke free environment? A boatload of routed pinballs from Italy?

#6 8 years ago

i can finally get the Austin Powers + 3 routed Baywatches I've always been looking for

#7 8 years ago

so, maybe i'm just having a hard time reading this, but how much does each pin cost?
are they all the same?

#8 8 years ago

You are supposed to contact the seller for a price list they will email to you is the way I read it.

ahhh...

thought on pinside we were supposed to list a price on "for sale" ads

#10 8 years ago

I'll take a Cactus Canyon and/or an Addams Family if someone in Texas is planning to buy 28 other machines

#11 8 years ago

Dont buy this shit , these machine are totaly worn out. ugly hacks and water damage all around for crazy high prices.

#12 8 years ago

Has anyone purchased or know someone that has purchased from them? We are considering making a large order from them or someone similiar & legit (if we can find one) but have never done anything like this before, so we're just at the tip of the iceburg on learning how bulk purchases like this work from across the seas.

So not a good idea? Any sources to back this up? Not trying to disbelieve you but we'd like to do our research, and this does sound a little sketchy but you never know.

I don't think there is much doubt the machines will be 100% routed and likely not in the best condition. Many are gathered in these containers because the operators do not desire to pay to the repair them, if they were working they would still be on rout in most (not all) cases.

The above doesn't mean the deal can't be good, all depends on the price and you ability and desire to take on a bunch of projects (presumably as a group) or just get them here to flip.

What would be cool would be if someone like FUN! bought all of them, the entire container, and auctioned them all off at $1 minimum reserve at the next TPF.

WARNING!!!!! SCAM ALERT! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!

Hi I am from Germany and have bought some games from this Italian guy (Andrea)..
Experienced scam like feelings when they arrived! Games are in worse than routed condition.
Over 25 errors in only 1 machine. Most creative hardware hacks ever seen! Kitt usage all over the machines. After sales terrible!!!!

BE WARNED!!!!!

#16 8 years ago
Quoted from ExpandItaly:

Condition: Needs minor work

You must ask yourself if they will ever work!!! It should state: "needs MAJOR work!"

Shipping will take ages (easily 1/2 year per boat)!

Myself and 3 other pinball friends were involved with the purchace of one 20ft container from these guys a few years back, shipped to us here in Sydney Australia when the Australian dollar was doing a lot better.

I was nervous about sending such a large chunk of money to these guys, but to cut a long story short, the machines did arrive. They were in OK condition - the type of condition you'd expect for a game that most likely has been out on site for many years and probably not serviced very often.

Almost every machine needed some sort of technical attention to get them operational - these were faults and issues not listed by the seller. Generally we spent an average of another $100-200 in parts per machine to get the up to speed. As their ad says, they have been shipping lots of pins for many years now, which means unless they have found a 'secret stash' somewhere, they are probably scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms 'acceptable quality' games without cosmetic issues like playfield and cabinet wear.

If you are seriously thinking of buying a container load of pins from these guys, it is well worth the cost of a return flight to Italy to inspect these games yourself and be sure of what you are buying / getting yourself in for.

Good Luck!

#19 8 years ago

2 years ago I got a Ripley's from him at a reasonable price. It only needed cleaning and rebuilding the flippers. I was pretty lucky. The other 8 or so machines that friends of mine bought were worse than described or a total rip off. Well, kinda - his prices were a lot lower then.

Now he asks for near collector's machines prices. For machines that were never ever serviced in any way. If you're looking for 100% original state - incl. rubbers, sandpaper like balls from the 90s - for way too much... Well

Also, the machine might miss some boards, which he describes in his list as 'maybe a fuse... Any stupidity...' And so on...

I was lucky...

#20 8 years ago
Quoted from fridgejam:

Than you were lucky ! We spend over $1500 to get them up to speed...
Nothing will work. All kind of custom hacked/soldered/kitt/weld parts that can't be used.
Toys, ramps, plastics etc etc all need to be renewed. Not just cleaning hahaha
You can throw the circuit boards at the trash as well!
Screws under the playfield that are to far in and thus came out on the other side.
Better buy a new playfield as well! DMD also of course.
He will not tell you this, or send pictures that let you see that.
Only little bit of cleaning...... BE WARNED!!

#22 8 years ago

A few years ago I went in with a bunch of others on a container from someone in Italy (not sure if its the same guy) through a contact here in Canada. Picked up a Road Show and Revenge From Mars for $1500 (CAD) each back when the C$ was almost at par with the US$.

RFM monitor didn't work (which I knew) and cabinet decals were trashed (partly shipped that way, partly thanks to Canadian Customs), some hacks, but otherwise worked. Replaced the cabinet decals, CPU fan, CPU PS, added amp kit for the monitor cleaned and waxed PF and I have $2100 into it altogether.

RS was another story. Rubbers shot, heads not working, fish wear (which I knew), many hacks, cabinet decals shot, etc., etc., etc. Dropped almost $1K into it but it runs like a dream now.

If you're looking for a screaming deal, you may not find it anymore. If you enjoy bringing a machine back from the grave knowing you won't make a profit on it if you sell, tread carefully but there are some good machines to be had.

I'm seriously considering . . .

#23 8 years ago

I would think that if you were able to inspect the games in person and were actually able to get the games that you picked out it would be worth it.

Anyone going to Italy?

#24 8 years ago

Tempting, considering what some of those DMD titles are going for nowadays...heck, you can't find a routed TAF for under $4k now.

#25 8 years ago

I guess the 3 machines in the picture Hook, spiderman, CV aren't included in the deal. im out

#26 8 years ago

I mean...I'd be willing to go in with people on a game or two. If I've got to put a couple hundred bucks into it, so be it.

#27 8 years ago

Anyway never buy from Italy, first advice since i'm in Neo Geo stuff

#28 8 years ago

I got the price list, and at first glance the prices look okay for beaters. But then add in shipping and any taxes to be paid and you're almost paying retail.

#29 8 years ago
Quoted from jwilson:

Ah well, that's usually how it goes

#30 8 years ago

Beat up hacked machines don't bother me. See the T2 I restored, and some others I've brought back from the dead. It's a hobby and fun for me to bring back machines from the dead and I don't anticipate much or any profit from these machines. If you don't have serious skills or funds to hire a tech I'd agree, buyer beware.

After looking at the sellers list I found 10 to 15 on his list that I would buy if they were local. I always anticipate anything coming from over seas is going to need at hundreds per machine to reverse the hacks and make needed repairs. After factoring in the shipping and the unknowns, it makes it a big gamble. I'm in for a few if someone local wants to go in with me on it. Roll the dice and I can report back here.

FYI I think shipping is free once you hit a certain amount of machines or price.

#31 8 years ago

I'm with several of you guys. If somebody was able to vouch for condition, I would buy a couple games if other local guys wanted to go in with me.

#32 8 years ago

Guys, you don't do these container deals unless someone local is willing to go and check them out for you and then put their own lock on the container (have them mail you the key) after they have been inspected. If not that, you fly out there yourself, inspect it, and put your lock on it.

I've been around long enough to see when these deals were good, but those days are way behind us. These days most people end up getting burned with a lot of trouble games and they rarely get back out what they put in in regards to both time and money.

#33 8 years ago

WE NEED REFERENCES!!!

#34 8 years ago

I got the price list. Not amazing deals considering shipment on top of the fact they all likely need a lot of love.

#35 8 years ago

guess i won't be getting that 1 beater Austin Powers + 3 heavily routed Baywatches, i've always wanted, after all.... bwa-bwa...

Are all of these 100% working players condition?

#37 8 years ago

Example #1

#38 8 years ago

That was 6400 euros? I'd hope they used plenty of lube first :/

Mind you, I'd take a cheap project machine. From the sound of it these aren't cheap enough to justify.

#39 8 years ago

Example #2

The Addams Family - FULL LED , any decals ruined, mylar ruined to remove , a circle burnes sign in magnete area , for the rest ok. 2500 euros.

Eep

For the right price, those could be turned into decent player machines. But, bargains those are not.

#47 8 years ago
Quoted from mayuh:

...wow, that's a lot worse than two years ago, plus he doubled the prices.

Same thoughts, very high prices when comparing average European price-level. With 6800€ you can get CC from collectors lineup in pristine condition. That game is max. 3000€ in my book.

So please buy those all to US, thanks

#48 8 years ago
Quoted from mayuh:

...wow, that's a lot worse than two years ago, plus he doubled the prices.

I bought two games from them 2 years ago: WPT and RS. Both were far from HUO. Overall, WPT was a very decent deal - and still in my collection - while RS needed significant work. All pictures were accurate and corresponded to the games shipped. But be aware that what you consider an acceptable cosmetic default on a picture may look worse in reality. Not implying they were trying to hide those flaws, to the contrary. Shipping was inexpensive (200 euros for two games). Given their prices then it was still an OK deal - far from a steal, but cheaper than what I could find. No regrets. Had to wire money to an account in Switzerland though...that was the stressful part until the games came!

Now...
Guess their aim is to remain slightly below US prices after shipping, meaning: way above European prices, especially now with a weaker euro! 2 years ago, if you listed one game 1000 euros, it meant $1400. Now 1000 euros = $1110. So they basically raised their prices to "compensate" for the exchange rate (i.e., make more money). I receive their monthly listings but have not seen anything of interest for a long time.

#49 8 years ago

Yeah, after getting the list via email, I can't say I'm the least bit interested anymore. Prices are high, condition is sketchy. Too bad.

#50 8 years ago

I found enough interesting games in what they sent me that I THINK if we all chipped in and hired (aka 20 people chip in $200) a proxy to go and do an in person assessment create one order we could all get like one or two games (and not the 10 min),get super cheap shipping. But that would take a decent amount of organization AND.....I kind of agree....for the uncertainty and the hassle....the prices are far from risk worthy.....I would jump at 1/2- 3/4 the price but you have to make a living so I dig that.
