I was lucky to come across a real rare oldie, a 1947 Exhibit Mystery Pinball.

First, a little background. Depending on source, this game was first released without flippers, and then
pulled back. Humpty Dumpty came out, and exhibit issued Flipper kits for the games already sold, and then
added them late in production. There were only a few made with factory flippers, a bit more with kits, and without.
The flippers were wired at high voltage, with no protection or fuse! Yikes.

This game has no flippers. I have had an open eye for Period Flippers.
The playfield is in excellent condition for its age, I have restored that.
The game was scoring fine, last time I turned on last year.
Backglass is sweet, with only a few minor issues....nice art.
Legs, I have restored to age, and look perfect.
Cabinet, I have cleaned but have done no work, it has a good amount of scrapes, bruises, on one side, a lot better on the other. side. Nothing major, nothing we havent seen.
I have a replacement door, original, by exhibit from the same year, but it needs to be recut to fit.
The lights were working with the contacts clipped together, when I bought, I have not yet gone back to
do this, as the contacts are on the door piece.
With a little bit more work, this is a stunning piece for a collection.

Is it the last Non flipper game, or the first flipper, by date?
