Game - for sale

For sale: Mystery Castle

Added: 2019-01-12 17:14:56 UTC • Ended: January 24th, 2019
Condition: HUO - Undocumented (Home Used Only)

Price

$ 6,500 (Firm)

Price is firm

I can not document this as HUO, but it is as nice as any HUO pin I own. Cabinet is near perfect. No broken ramps or plastics. A little bit of wear at the scoop hole. Plays 100%. This is the original condition. It doesn't need to be shopped and never has. If any of the picture appear fading, that is just the camera flash. No cabinet fade at all. Only about 200 of these made. It would be hard to find a nicer one. I've owned this about 10 years. Prefer a local sale.

Man, I really wish I had a little more hobby funds freed up right now. I’d be in the car already.

Pricey, but I paid 3600 for an unshopped project a few years ago. The cabinets are low grade play and the paint will run if you get it wet (or come off with a wet cloth) so the fact that his is that nice says a lot.

When I was a kid, there was a Gottlieb distributor here in OKC. He sold 3 Mystery Castles to dad one day for $750 each. Brand new in the crate. Short of TAF, STTNG, FH, etc, it was one of the best earning pins you’ve ever seen. I wish we still had at least one of them. We did the WPC flipper conversions about a year into owning them. If anyone has a MC with EATPM flipper bats, it probably came from OKC...

I actually have 2 right now - and both came from Oklahoma, but one doesn’t have different flipper bats for sure. I’ll have to check the other one - I’m just using the second one as a guide on my ground up restore of the first one.

Flipper bats are tough to find. I am hoarding 15 nos for that very reason.

Color display looks sick on an MC! Nice upgrade. I’ll take the other one when you’re done with it.
