Munsters LE #380 of 600. I am the 2nd owner of this HUO pin.

Everything works as it should.

Only 2 mods. There is the 1313 address attached to the shooter rod bezel. And I replaced the gold colored paper in the cabinet side rail spiderwebs with some metal flake paper that changes colors with the light. I also protected this flaked paper with some mylar so no more wearing through with the gold paper.

When I brought it home, I tried out one coin slot with 4 quarters to see if the coin slot worked.

I brought it home with 55 plays on. It now has 1073 plays that were put on myself and 4 other friends.
---------------------------------------------------
Now, the bad news. I dropped the play field inside the cabinet. It is easier to do than you think.

When the play field came down, it made two small tears in the right hand art blade. I was able to repair these tears with a pancake type solder iron. You would never know they are there, but they are.

At the same time, the play field a small tear on the left hand art blade. Unfortunately, the small tear took the blade material with it. All I could do was to color in the tear with some black marker ink. You can't see it but it is there.

I also have 4 small scuffs on the cab just above the Start button. The camera makes them look more noticeable then they are in real life. I don't when they got there. I don't know how they got there---unless perhaps I tripped when removing the lockdown bar. I just don't know.

But these flaws are here. So you need to be made aware of them.

Comes with or without the topper. The topper works 100% and has been replaced in its factory shipping box.

I will work with your shipper but shipping is buyer's responsibility. I have had other pins delivered and taken from my address by Michelle at STI so shipping from my address is not a problem. If you want to drive in an pick it up yourself you are welcome to do that.

If you have any questions or need to see a different pic, then send me a PM and I will accommodate.

Asking $9500.00 with the topper. And $8000.00 without the topper.

I need space so not particularly interested in trading, but it never hurts to keep options open. I would consider any classic Stern pin you might have and would consider a Stern Beatles Gold, but I really need the space.

I'm old school. Payment can be made with a personal check and when the check clears the bank then the pin can ship.

Also, bank wire for payment works.

Cash in the glass always works.

Thanks for looking.

Great seller alert.

#3 2 years ago

I am confused by the listed price of $1,234, but then a more normal price in the ad itself.

Maybe three reasons. Or Best Offer, With Topper, Without Topper.

It's a shameful way to get more eyes on an ad and posting bait pricing should be strongly discouraged. This ad should be removed until they post the honest price.

????

This is a pretty common practice. I mean it does distort the average asking price, but I think most people know that $1,234 isn’t an actual price.

I sure did not mean to offend. I just could not figure out if I should put up $9500.00 or $8,000.00. So I went with the 1,2,3,4 format as I have seen this done several times.

Please tell me which price I should put up and I will make you happy.

Of course, you could make an offer.....

I don’t think you understand the soul-crushing Rollercoaster you forced this poor guy to ride...leading him to believe a Munsters LE was for sale for only $1,234.00, only to read the fine print and discover it was all a cruel bait and switch ruse!!!

There’s no recovering from something like that, on an emotional level.

Nice honest and transparent for sale post. Good luck with the sale my friend.

Oh brother...
I'm hardly offended, and never expected this to be the real price. Imagine having to click in to each ad and scroll around to search for the actual price. Listing it for 8000 and saying in the ad that he would throw in the topper for another $1500 is a reasonable way to list it. That's how most people do it. These gimmick listings are all over Facebook marketplace. I'd hate to see this become the new normal here. Do what you want with your own ad though - I'll recover emotionally some day I guess.

I thought the ad was great. Honest description of the flaws, and clear, up close photos showing those flaws. I'd rather the price thing in this add than an ad saying" some wear" and then having 4 far away photos taken with a potato.

This was one of the best ads I've seen in a while on Pinside. If I could afford this I'd buy it.

Free bump for the seller! Nice looking machine!

I agree with everything you said. Its a nice machine and nicely described. I only take issue with the price listing. It appears to me to be a dishonest way to generate interest, and if it sells these fake prices might become more common practice. That being said, its a nice machine and I'd be tempted to buy it myself.

Yet you keep posting, bumping it to the top. I've never seen you and cottonm4 in the same place at the same time and I know in a past life Craig was a salesperson so...

I think $8000 would be a "better" way to list it but meh. GLWS cottonm4 I'll call you next time I'm in town.

Anytime. I still have Big Game here. And also Catacomb, Seawitch, and Robocop. Who knows, you might even get a chance to play Munsters
