Who did the Restoration ?

#3 7 years ago

This was the MB from Rockland Pinball. I believe it was at the Pintastic show.

#4 7 years ago

it would be tough to build this machine for less than $9800. Parts alone with a base machine are probably close to 10K.

I had no idea Monster Bash was worth NEARLY this much. I guess I should stop taking the two near me for granted. Love the machine but I guess I didn't know the value.

#6 7 years ago

If I didn't already have a MB I would be looking to pick this one up. I've played on it and it is well worth the asking and then some.

#7 7 years ago

Classy move not jacking up the price. This will make somebody VERY happy

#8 7 years ago

Pictures added.

Also forgot to add a few things that i added.

-two new autoEddy boards(pinbits) for the phantom shot
-Upgraded 1.06 home rom
-mirror blades

#9 7 years ago

Looks great.
Great price.
Like the color DMD.

#10 7 years ago

Getting rid of it so soon? Such a fun pin and very difficult if set up correctly (open outlanes) and some other stuff. Great mods on this one to and is a nice deal . Im curious about the laminated decals? Also who ever buys this sld get a cliffy along with mantis bc the mosh pit edge takes a beating and sld have both to prevent chipping. Id buy the tooper ....glws

#11 7 years ago

Thanks. Its a fun game I just got tired of it very quickly.

I would consider trades plus cash

-MMR
-AFM

#12 7 years ago

Beautiful MB! I think you forgot to mention it has a color DMD unless I missed something... GLWTS

#13 7 years ago

You are right. I knew i forgot something. Color DMD included.

Yea thats a big one lol...still it was a great deal even without it mentioned. If i didnt just get one id b buying this one.

#15 7 years ago

Lots of interest but most want to ship. Would prefer cash and local pickup at this point.

Another trade I would consider is a MET Pro plus cash.

#16 7 years ago

Met Pro = the way to go. I love mine....

#17 7 years ago

Yup. It has grown on me the more and more I play it.

#18 7 years ago

For the two who were apparently offended at my price comment - I wasn't disparaging the price. If anything I was impressed the game has aged to attain so much value. I love this game. It's one of my favorites.

How many times have you got the 666 stack?

That's my goal every time I play mine. Definitely keeps me coming back for more. I've owned my MB longer than any other pin since being in the hobby.

Mb has been 7k+ for at least 7 year's or longer and restored modded ones 10-12k for a while now.

Exactly.

I paid $7200.00 for my average condition routed MB 5 years ago, which was later sent to McCune for a (glorious) restoration.

That's great! Thanks for elaborating, I honestly had zero idea. I had always assumed it was in the 5k range just sort of based on other games in the same era.

I agree its a dam fun pin and mines super difficult with open outlanes, very sensitive slings, set up on hard and new playfield waxed monthly. I fiannly just got monster bash and got my name in lol. Now trying to get monsters of rock and the big stack. Dont think it will be anytime soon as it power drains alot lol.

Yea mb, original mm , even afm but its not quite as much for some reason (even know its probably the best of the bunch code/flow wise) are all on the top end do to popularity (due to great rules, layout, themes) and lack of availability especially very nice ones.

Mb is fun but just way too easy for a skilled player

#26 7 years ago

But great deal here for someone

#27 7 years ago

Nice recovery Bump for Derek lol

Every one I've played I thought was too easy(and I suck)...maybe it was the setup. Still a lot of fun.

Come play mine when your down this way.... so far its kicked everyone's butt that has played it including hundreds of plays by me . Now im sure some top players cld destroy it like they do any pin but for us casual players the late 90s lyman coded pins are the perfect combination of rules that are actually possible to beat but not every time u play and unlike new pins that are so deep you never see half the game unless you are a pro or have the glass off lol.

Yea the outlanes are the biggest thing and definitely need to be open up or u never lose the ball. I found that and 7 degree pitch totally change the game and add in super sensitive slings.... well its pretty brutal and fast .

#31 7 years ago

Trust me, MB can be set up to be anything but easy.

I was at the inaugural It Never Drains in SoCal pinball tournament a few years ago. Some of the best pinball players in the world were at this tournament, including Jim Belsito, Karl DeAngelo, and Neil Shatz.

And guess what? They had a MB in this tournament! Would they really use a MB in an INDISC tournament with some of the best players in the world if it was going to be easy and have long ball times? I don't think so. I played it, and I watched other play it. Sure, it may have had ball times a bit longer compared to other pins in the tourney, but it was still pretty damn tough.

I can agree with all the comments here. This is a fantastic game, I just like the other two games MM and AFM a bit more. It's the only reason I am selling it so I can replace it with one of those.

I believe it's priced fairly as a number of people have offered my asking price, I am just looking to have a local sale done vs shipping it.
