It’s kind of shocking to see the LE come up for sale used so fast. Most LE buyers won’t get their pins until February. This may be the fastest way to get that new LE. I had a buddy who bought a classic model nib and only had it for a few days.

Quite a few of these different models of Monster Bash have hit the market early, I’m wondering if the nostalgia wears off when it’s sitting in your home and you see the new games coming out.

I sold my CE and bought an SE. love the game. I wasn’t into pinball in the 90s so no nostalgia for me, just a great game.

What made you do that if you don't mind me asking? I'm planning on getting a CE, but I am hearing this CE to SE move more and more. Purely curious to help me make the most informed decision - especially from other people's experience...!

I sold my CE after 1 week. Getting an SE instead.

I didn't sell one, but I researched the CE vs SE inside and out. With the SE, you get the color DMD which is also wider and with better resolution. You get the colored LEDs that match the gameplay, which makes a HUUUUGE difference when you're immersed in a game.

Those two things alone did it for me. You also get double the warranty.

The CE was too stripped down and a lot of the features were permanently disabled. For example, the speaker lights tied into the game are not coded, the plasma disc connection is dead, etc. if you want a stock game just like the original, the CE is great. I just wanted more from it. If you look in the manual, I think it’s page 11 or 12, there is a screen in the settings menu with all of the features that you can adjust. That screen is not in the CE game.

curious, does the warranty transfer? CGC has a great warranty on the LE.

Nothing new under the sun, here. Just the other day a JJP pirates in Austin was put on the back after just a few days in a home. Some buyers just like the thrill of the new and can afford to take a $500 hit to quickly move on.

From the limited warranty paper I have in front of me:

"Only the original purchaser of the pinball machines is covered by this warranty..."

No. Which to be honest is one of the reasons I decided not to get the game. It hurts resale value. I didn't intend on keeping it for a long time, so that mattered to me.

It's a bad move by CGC. Would you want to buy a 2 month old car with absolutely no warranty only to save 2.5%. Absolutely not. Why would it be any different on a pinball machine?
