Yes, I needed the game for mod purposes. There is nothing more to read into this, someone will be getting a great deal on a new MBR. Plays are going up, figure I play a game or two a day. It is an amazing game, plays exactly like any other version, just with less bling.

Does it include the color upgrade?

No, but the CE is upgradeable to color.

What does that update go for?

The classic edition AFMr and MBr are $6000 with a regular size dmd. It’s in single color, $400 extra for the updated color graphics. I have it on my AFMr classic. Looks great, the screen is just smaller than the special edition and limited edition

How much to upgrade to the larger size color display?

You can't do it on the CE. Speakers are larger on the CE so there isn't enough space. The CE I believe is exactly the same size as the original game.

You can’t. They do not currently sell a conversion kit. You can only have the updated graphics on the smaller screen. I like the screen size, it’s the same size as an original. If you want the original look, this is a great buy! Save a little cash from new. If you want the large screen, you have to buy special or limited edition models

$1300?

I think pricing is:
Classic: $6000
Special: $7300
LE: $8000

Not an available option. I do agree the standard display on this game especially if you opt for the color chip upgrade looks awesome. At this price for a new game with many upgrades someone is going to have a great Christmas.

#15 5 years ago

Agree. If you want it to look like a classic MB this is a great deal.

Crazy to think that you can get a new MB for 5850 out the door as this is basically new.

Is the warranty transferable?

Is the warranty transferable?

I dont know. I havent registered the game yet.

#18 5 years ago

I believe that if the game is not registered than the warranty is transferable.

#19 5 years ago

Where did you even find a CE? I thought they only built 150 SE's now and the LE's start production next year, and then the CE's after that. With the low plays this doesn't seem like a show model.

#20 5 years ago

I got it drop shipped from the factory via my distributor. It’s not a show game. In my house only (IMHO, LOL).

#21 5 years ago

Someone please buy this so that I can't. Better half says two games in one week is a problem. Great deal here.

#22 5 years ago

I really really want to buy this. Looking for a classic version. Wish you weren't 14 hours away

#23 5 years ago

It really seems strange to see a 10 play MB with some of Lermods mods on it for $5850?! This is simply awesome!

GLWTS!

#24 5 years ago

Sorry, I exaggerated, only 9 plays.

Great deal for someone! A like new MB for $5850 would have only been a pipe dream half a year ago!

GLWS bump!

GLWS bump!

And yet nobody is jumping on this. Why?

Do people want the big screen version?

Now that anybody can get one, it's less attractive? Who knows. Seems like a good opportunity to buy one and save 500 bucks. I'm actually considering it. $6250 ain't bad for a brand new MB with the updated color screen.

I know a guy in NYC who just sold a gorgeous HUO MB for 8300 (was taking offers on ebay). A little info on what the market is like for the games these days. It really is a mint MB except for the usual wrinkling around the legs, I helped service it last week. I suppose that would have been a 10K game a couple years back.

#27 5 years ago

If I hadn't paid in full for mine and wasn't a 6.5 hour drive away I'd probably consider it

#28 5 years ago

The MBr CE has the same size screen as all of the MMR games. I have the color chip in my MMR and it looks great, never really even thought the screen should be larger. That said, I also have an AFMR SE with the larger screen and it looks great, but I'm not sure i would pay more just for the larger screen.

Come get it Levi! There have been a few inquiries so it's not exactly crickets. I'd expect it to sell fairly soon, but it's only been listed less than a day.

possibly, but I would check on this? my understanding is that if you are not the original owner its technically not transferable....thats not to say they wouldn't address minor issues.
